on more than one front that is. The pope has been knocked off his pedestile of "infallability" and its perception in recent polls...unlike in earlier decades..and the bible has ben discredited

christianity was named "the most extensively flawed and logicallyloopholed religion" which means it contraditcts itself on more than one account. And in many cases, it does not even make any sense in its assertions (this is just fact). I think these have been well documented in the past too but were withheld due to contraversy. Furthermore, there was a study in johns hopkins that stated that many of the "proclaimed" justice stories were really flawed justice and the god of the old testament was the "epitomy of double standards, hypocricy and injustice" rather than an example of pure justice based on current modern justice standards in our legal system...

So yea, I don't think christianity is doing very well in the "logical" department. Neither is islam, nor judaism.. justmere mirror images

hmmmm...I like the new answers I am assessing. They are more...intelligent in nature....this may call for a different psychological projection...

I am intrigued by your thinking answerers...you are not mere robots...like some I have dealt with in the past.

fagies...uhm...I have found none. I don't want to be killed, tortured or mutilated any time soon. So, yes, I agree with you, allah and islam are great and Islam and everything contained therein are true and logical.

Its christianity and judaism that are bad not Islam...sorry people for that mis-correction...now, lets continue our debate without any further adu.

djmantx..

I care because it the answers amuse me...and intrigue me. I knew that some of the responses would be "it never had" and others would be like "its only your perception cuz you took it from that at the beginning,.,.bla bla bla, your not a christian"

so I sit back, read...and chuckle to myself...an endless supply of answers where I can asses the endless depth of human psychology and insanity. Its fabulous. It really is. You should try it some time.

Personally, my views are irrelevent, but...best of luck to your scoring of points on yahoo answers and your success...

cheers,

o, and when I intend to give a sermon...I intent to give a point of view...in order to gain a reaction (the point of view is not necessarily my own)...just as any loser on yahoo answers intends to gain a reaction from the religious section...

RW, if this is so...then, my case is just as strong...why do we follow christianity if its obsolete and outdated....Your statements do not make christianity any more credible. In fact, they make Christianity look less credible.

The credibility of the doctrine of Christ could not be tarnished by a pope or any other mortal man. The credibility of Christ was the credibility of the creator. As for those who use there created reason to judge the one who created there ability to reason. Now being as you are not a Christian and do not believe in God it would seem to me you would have already in your mind found Christianity to be less than credible. therefore your question was not meant to be a question but a long sermon of how Christianity isn't credible. If you do not believe you must surely ask yourself why would you care?

the credibility of christianity can not be pegged on the institution of the pope. the pope is just one of so many christians, albeit a leader.his loosing 'infallibility' whatever that means does not contribute to the loosing of crediblity by christianity more than the backsliding of Judas and Ananias and Saphira or any other christian does .
you know, it is not the parts of the bible that i dont understand that worry me, it is those parts that i do under stand tha worry me.for instance, love tyour neighbour, u cant claim to love God if you dont love God, flee from Sexual immorality, restoration of double to job after the afflictions, chastening of the children of Israel in the wilderness, none in the disobedient generation entered the promised land, repent and be born-again. the real strength of christianity is here.character of Jesus.if you can prove that the character was flawed, you would have destroyed the credibility of christianity. but the devil tried in the wilderness by offering bread, status and riches in temptation, he failed. hollywood tried by making the movie Jesus Christ Superstar, depicting Jesus as a homo ,they couldnt. dan brown tried with the book the da vinci code,by saying Jesus had sexual relations, he has failed because the sensation is all over, and we christians are much stronger .you tried, and have failed.you are called to be like Jesu, not to be like the pope or Mkenya, sawa?barikiwa.thats swahili fr be blessed!

You no nothing about Christianity. The bible has the most realistic facts on earth. For example "Noah's Ark." This ark has been found in a mountain in Turkey. The main point why people do not believe in Christianity is because the logic is so easy. You people do not understand it because it's to easy to understand. You guy's want a more complex logic. But all of this come down to faith. You do not believe Christianity because of realistic facts but because of faith.

Honesty is honest and trustworthy, a trustworthy person tend to be the collusion of others. Honesty requires courage and caution, the need to uphold and improve credit, only to do so, their talent is completely honest person.
The most basic thing is honesty not to deceive others, bad faith, a person is no loss of integrity of character, is a physically and mentally unhealthy people, not only hurt themselves, but also hurt the others, it can be said that is a liar, such a person is not only lack of trust of others in the community can not be based on such a person hard to make close friends. No matter where we are, we must have integrity.

if Christianity is illogical, than islam must be, as its built upon Christianity.

if Judaism is Illogical, than christianity AND islam must be, because they are based upon Judaism.

you said it yourself "modern justice standards" which are tailored for OUR lifestyle, our view and understanding of the world, and our circumstances.

back then... things were alot different.

Don't waste your time and energy my friend. I used to be just like you questioning christianity but now I let them think their own way. Its not bad they have morals and try to be good members of society. So what if their religion is kind of wack and their explaination defending their beliefs don't make any sense we're not the ones to judge. Let them judge us for only the weak ridicule the strong.

the problem is that you take christianity too litterally, plus you also wrote here "BASED ON CURRENT MODERN JUSTICE STANDARDS IN OUR LEGAL SYSTEM" during the time of the old testament, nothing was modern, thats why there way of justice was waaaaay more different than ours.

I think that people are allowed to be free-thinkers now, more so than in the past. Younger people are thinking more for themselves and not allowing themselves to be pigeon-holed. We have more freedom to express differing beliefs.
