That's why it's called faith. There is no tangible sign.

I actually felt that all my sins had been forgiven. A tangible feeling in my spirit. It was totally surprising to me as before I accepted Jesus I had no sense of guilt in connection with my sinful lifestyle. I was into whoring, was foul mouthed, partying hard etc. I thought it was all ok and God didn't really mind it all as I was basically a good person. I was having one of best times of my life before this so I wasn't down in the dumps and needed something to hang on to. God is amazing. He still is 16 yrs down the track. Other proof is that I gave up my old lifestyle and am so grateful that I did.

The sign was the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That is where your faith is without that faith in Jesus you can be assured you sins have not been forgiven. He told his people that he was the only way to the father. He is our salvation not by our righteousness but through his. That is the way you know your sins are forgiven it is your faith that Jesus Christ died in your place and was raised again and we too have a part in this resurrection.

God doesnot like to punish his creations as we believe that God's love for his creation (the human being) even more than the love of 70 mothers combined.

When Satan was given a free hand to misguide Humans (starting from Adam and Eve), God gave humans a Handicap ..... Forgiveness. You do countless sins intentionally or unintensionally.....but then you come and repent from the heart and with a commitment to avoid them in future, all your sins are washed away and all the Satan's hard work is perished.

The thing that God loves to do the most is to forgive our sins when we repent. But we shall be careful with our firm commitment since God is all knowing and has the knowledge beyond our comprehension. For someone who is thirsty, he needs to move a little towards the water source in order to quinch his thirst. Similarly, for someone who seeks forgiveness needs to come to God (that does not mean a church necessarily). He/she needs to explore the reason why God created us and what does the Almighty expect from us.

The Almighty says that when a person crawls towards him, he walks towards that person, and when a person walks towards him, he runs towards that person.... This word of God emphisizes on his likness of a person wanting to seek the truth and seek his forgiveness.

Here's a great way to get over your sins, Get over your God. In reality, sin is a subjective topic, and one persons sin is another persons daily life, like eating pork, drinking, working on Sunday, things like that. Set your own code of conduct, and live by it. I would never kill a person that meant me no harm. So I have not commited that sin. I would not steal from someone, so I haven't commited that sin. Technically I am without sin because my own code of conduct does not include frivilous little rules.
