Losing hair is enough to freak anyone out. Why's it happening? How can I stop it? Am I getting bald patches? Or even the full Matt Lucas?

Here's your own personal Hair Loss Fact File:

*We have about 120,000 hairs on our scalp. And we all lose around a hundred hairs a day. Every day.

*Excess hair loss (known in the trade as alopecia "al-oh-pee-shah") is very common. There are different types, depending on whether our hair is falling out all over, only at the front or in patches. But about 3% of young people are going through it, same as you. It's no fun.

*Sometimes something stops all our hair growing at once. Then a few months later it falls out. Being unwell, losing weight, stressing out. What was going on in your life this spring?

Here's what to do:

* Peer closely. I'm betting there are lovely sprouts of new hair growing determinedly back.

*Treat yourself. We all deserve a crop of fabulous Hair Products. Shine serum, thickening spray - now's your moment.

*Eat your hair back. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg is good for hair.

*Check your health. If you're fighting fit, be patient. As the sign outside my local hairdresser reads, "It'll grow back".

*But if you're feeling unwell or run down, speak to your GP. Same goes if there's no improvement after a month or two. Very (very) occasionally other stuff causes hair loss. Your doc'll put your mind at rest.

All The Best!

Do oil massage (warm oil) after that take a hot towel (dip it in hot water and squeeze all the water out) tie like a turban on your head. Ensure all the hair is in the turban. Leave the turban for 2 mins. Again repeat the turban process. Then you can wash your hair with some good shampoo and conditioner.

If Your Hair Is Curly:

Since your hair is prone to dryness, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
After washing, gently blot hair dry with an absorbent towel and apply 4 to 6 drops of silicone-based shine serum (the thicker your hair, the more you can use).
Detangle hair with fingers, and allow it to air dry.

If Your Hair Is Wavy:

Lather up with a shine-enhancing shampoo and conditioner. Rinse well.
Smooth and separate wet strands with wide-tooth comb, then spritz a silicone-based shine-enhancing spray from ends to roots.
Dry hair using a blowdryer with a tapered nozzle to direct air down the hair shaft and seal the cuticle.

If Your Hair Is Straight:

Your hair tends to lie flat against your scalp, where it can accumulate shine-dulling grease.
To avoid this, use a deep-cleaning shampoo daily and apply a clarifying gel treatment to roots once a week to prevent oil buildup.
After blowing hair dry, use a flatiron to enhance sheen.
