There is a valid point to this question. If its true that God is all knowing, then how did he not know the following things:

-that the serpent was not only in the garden, but that it was talking/tempting Eve
-that Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit
-and what caused them to know that they were naked (if he created the garden and everything in it, he would have known the results of eating the fruit).

Maria...according to genesis, they did confess. They weren't given a chance to ask forgiveness.

Furthermore, if he knew these things would happen, why bother with the garden experiment in the first place? For Adam and Eve to do anything but eat the fruit would prove God fallible, and thus prove again that he is not all knowing.

If you're going to put forth the assertation that he did indeed know all of these things, please back it up, chapter and verse. I've read the bible many times thru, and his reaction to being told that they did eat the fruit is one of surprise, and borderline panic..." And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Genesis 3:22

Of course He knows and He always know. The reason why He do all this;preventing Adam and Eve from eating the Khuldi fruit is to test both Adam and Eve's faith to Him.It is all written in the Luh Mahfudz. We human are destined to be sent to this Earth to pray to Him and manage this world.Well.I believe you are an atheist.PLEASE.Read the Koran with your heart and you'll find the true path. The true meaning of this life.To worship Him.As He is The Creator.Correct me if I'm wrong.

God did not choose to have his intelligent creation be so called, pre-destined. It would not make sense that if God knew what he was going to create would be harmful? why create a world and life on it in the first place?

The loose term free-will in the case you have above, He purposed for us to have, not total freedom, but relative freedom, subject to the rule of law.

So it is not that God is all knowing but he has allowed persons to live in a relative freedom. Adam and Eve made bad choices. Adam and Eve, were given everything that anyone could reasonably want. They were put in a large, park like paradise. They had material abundance. They had perfect minds and bodies, so they would not have to get old or get sick or die—they could have lived forever. They would have had perfect children who could also have had a happy, everlasting future.

That's a good question, one I can't give an answer to at this moment but I will think about it.

-------

Okay, it's the next day, and I'm back--Here are some of the my thoughts, which are not too profound, I must say.

I think God knew what was going on and knew all the answers, but history had to be allowed to run its course. For example, Adam and Eve had to be given the chance to obey, and when they did not, to be given the chance to answer for what they have done.

He knew everything, including the serpents actions, and the repercussions/ punishments of their acts. it was a test he put the two thru, and they flunked. only after hat did they realize His power and His strength,
He was kind in His punishment and gave them an earth that wud be full of goodness. Only they need to stay away from the temptations of the Satan.
Adam and Eve realized the strength of God. their descendants have not.

He knew all of this... even before it happened He knew..

But the point is- the confession in a sin and asking forgiveness, which should be done by Eva and Adam.

eating of the tree of good and evil revealed the nakedness
Lucipher failed He wanted Adam to succeed but he failed too so we are all still trying ..Otherwise we wouldve been in paradise!

God is the most fearful and the most merciful, He knows everything, and nothing can happen without his consent/will.
He is alone and has no relatives.
