I think he's a playa, but my wife says he shouldn't start til highschool.

just monitor what he does, lots of kids date at this age, dont worry. maybe a light kiss, but dont let them go to far. and teach him not to be a playa, however fathers do that...i honestly wouldnt know...

He's way to young. Do you realize that the kids these days are having sex at 10 and 12, doing drugs and who knows what else. Your wife is right, don't encourage this behavior at a young age. He's a kid not a playa. He has a long way to go before he even knows what girls are about. Take your wife's side.

There is no harm in having GF, what you have to make your son understand is the right age for sex. He is not even fully grown yet....and so must be his gf, let them be friends, but tell them not to start sex etc as it will stop natural growth of their sex organs which in future will be harmful and can cause damage which may be not cured ever after, and then they will repent their mistake. Be free with them and give them right advice. Friendship should remain friendship till the right time.

I think he's a little too young, and he should wait to high school. But ask him if they're willing to become friends and not be so intimate until high school, then you can start feeling happy, and you can even let them go to the movies... just make sure nothing happens, and maybe even try to meet the his girlfriends parents...

12- he should be playing sports, gameboy but not the dating game- he will be a parent before he is 14 and have syphillis, and herpes- put a halt to it now!- before you create a monster!!! what values do you instill in him while growing up and how to respect the opposite sex???- get him involved in other stuff- school = sports- clubs- hobbies = something- at 12 =ridiculous=and no cell phone and no calls from girls- too- tooo young!!! D

He may be too young for sex, but he is not too Young for a gf. Keep in touch with him so he is not out in the cold all alone

At 12 you consider talking on the phone holding hands a bf/gf. i wouldnt take it too seriously just monitor there behavior and keep an eye on them its just puppy love nothing to serious

no way hes too young!! 12 is a fine age to start dating i mean i knew kids who dated 10 and younger. so let him start whenever he feels ready, and besides, what kid would want their parents poking into their love life?

don't jump to any conclusions he is 12 for crying out loud. i think it is cute that your 12 yr old son has a gf. just be happy that he isn't getting into trouble.
