Close all files and folders that are open on your desktop. Click on Control Panel - Add/remove programs - Search for iTunes or whatever u want to uninstall...click on Change/Remove (near it) Restart comp.
If u still have probs. with that... then run ur Recovery Disc. Remember to save all ur imp. files on a floppy/CD first.
Also, u can try the other options when u reinstall like update current version, repair, or delete current version
Good luck.

There are a lot of good books about PCs. Why don't you just go buy one and read it? You do not need a PC expert for what you are asking.

if at all you want to reinstall i... then just go head and start reinstalling it will upgrade your version automatically.. if not
try reinstalling you will get an option to repair an existing version...
or just overwrite it by installing on top of it and try uninstalling it.
