Will it thicken back up if you don't tie it away and you aren't under so much stress anymore. My hair was thick before.

I think it's possible to reverse it. Try the following:

1. Don't smoke or drink.

2. Try to reduce your stress. Meditation and yoga are good, but you have to do it regularly. Get sufficient sleep.

3. Eat a well-balanced diet. Take only natural, unprocessed foods without additives or preservatives.

4. Take vitamin and mineral supplements if you need them. Remember to always take WITH meals and with plenty of water.

5. A diet high in grains and cereals is supposed to be good for hair.

6. Don't take any kind of processed or refined oil. Fast food and most restaurant food are cooked in refined oil. But you NEED oil for healthy glands and hormones. Take cold-pressed or unrefined oils and fats.

7. Don't drink sugary or soft drinks or anything with artificial additives. Distilled water is good.

8. The mineral silica is good for the hair. Silica strengthens the hair follicles so it doesn't drop easily. It also strengthens the connective tissues so your skin looks firmer. Your nails will also get strengthened. And it increases the density of bones. Foods high in silica are oats, millet, soya beans, tofu, seaweed.

9. The herb Horsetail is rich in silica and should be taken regularly. It can be taken as an infusion; it also comes as capsules or in gel form. Another herb that helps hair is Rosemary. Use an infusion to rinse your hair after shampooing or use a little of the oil and massage well into the scalp 2 or 3 times a week.

10. Your body needs to be more alkaline (yin) rather than acidic (yang) for healthy hair to grow. A diet of refined, processed foods will cause the body to be more acidic. Taking more vegetables and fruits will make the body more alkaline.

11. Don't overwash or hardly wash your hair. About 1 or 2 times a week is good. Try to use a natural or organic shampoo.

Yes it will thicken back up, just lessen the stress, meditation, or something like tai chi things that make you calm, take the time and make the change, your hair is not gone permanently.

Depends if the stress goes away, and that was the cause of the hair loss in the first place.

If stress is there it will affect not only hair. If you really want to controll hairloss that is a good reason to get rid of stress.
