I have this friend I go out and do stuff with. I plan/pick her up/pay. She pays sometimes though. I would imagine that she likes me, or she wouldn't say she'd go. We've been out together more than 5 times, just as friends. Now that we live in the same town, I've started to have feelings for her, as in more than friends. In the past two weeks, we've been out twice- a trend I'd like to see continue. I haven't laid the moves on her yet (ie, attempted hand holding, attempted cuddling, attempted kissing), and I know I should before I get sentenced to friendship forever. Short of asking her out right, any other ways I can tell if she's into me besides making a move, facing rejection, and things getting awkward?

Man, I completely feel your pain on this. I am going through the same thing and situation. Last night I went for the first kiss and was rejected. Now things are kind of weird. She claims it is okay, but I feel rejected. Her excuse was "Not to Rush", but at the same time, I don't want to go from potential to the friend level.

If you two have a mutual friend, maybe plan some investigation through them. Otherwise I suggest you man up and ask her where she sees you two going. Good luck.

No. The only way to determine her intentions if you have not been able to recognixe her intensions, is to make your intensions known.

Yeah, if you can't see it, spell it out. If she reads it the way you don't, walk.
