you could try a detox ... this would allow you to clear your body of toxins which cause spots in the first place. It will leave you with beautiful clear skin!

If you don't want to try that then maybe a herbal remedy would suit you .. you would have to ask a specialist about that first because they will make it to suit your needs...

The best thing to do is to use Simple Soap to wash your face that will eliminate any grease and that helps to prevent spots!

If you use a face cream use something that is not perfumed. I just use a Calamine Cream (as in Calamine lotion you use when you have Chicken pox) this helps to reduce redness! It also helps to keep your face from getting sore in the wind during the winter time!

But mainly just avoid using an perfumed products on your face, and sometimes toners and cleansers are all well and good but they are very highly perfumed, so you need to stop using them and see how it goes!

If that does not work then if I was you I would pay a visit to the doctors and get referred to a specialist!

Good luck!

I suffered with awful acne up until about 7months ago, and I am 26. I have changed my diet and make sure that I eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and drink lots of water and cut out greasy foods. I also use Johnsons clean and clear. I use the facial scrub for oily skin, the cleanser and the moisturiser twice a day and I now only ever get the occasional spot.

I use clean and clear by Johnsons which is great, get the facial stuff I use it everyday. Toothpaste on the spots before you go to bed and leave it on works...although doesn't look very attractive. Also when they first come up putting alcohol such as vodka makes them go down too. If none of that works I know one of my friends went to the doctors and was given a very strong drug that cleared hers dramatically in a few weeks, but they only give it in severe cases. hope this helps

It really depends where the spots are.
On your chin this is hormonal, time of the month, can be brought on by stress. Evening primrose would be good. Spots on your cheeks you should cut down or even eliminate dairy from your diet. On your jaw, could be a problem with your kidney, try milk thistle. On your forehead this is your digestion, you need to eat simpler foods, cut out the junk, and cut down on red meat. On your nose has a link with your heart, exercise, take care of your self. Shoulders has a link with your lungs, exercise and quit smoking. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, increase fruit and veg, drink green tea and nettle tea. Also oranges can be bad for the skin so cut these out too.

Sometimes these spots are melasma which is a discoloration of the pigment. It can be brought on by use of birth control pills or some antibotics such as minocycline. You may want to consult a dermatologist as they can prescribe retin-a or perfrom some laser treatment to remove these. Good luck!

i got this tip from a friend and it works for me. buy a fresh lemon and smooth it over your face it stings at first but when it has soaked in it makes your skin feel lovely and its pure vitamins straight on your face. spots dry out in no time. also another good cheap remedy is an egg white. bit messy at first but it drys like a face mask then wash it off and it drys spots up really well.

freederm - its great for indivdual spots that appear as it reduces the swelling an redness. Its trial and error as everone's skin is different. Johnson's clean and clear face wash is good. go to a dermatologist for advice.

i will let you in on my little secret for dealing with spots... its called sage and comfrey from the body shop and its absolute magic. i have really bad eczema, and it not only clears spots overnight and stops them becoming evil whiteheads, it also helps with scars and blemishes... and it also works on insect bites far better than anything else ive ever tried. at the moment i think they are re-packaging, but it costs about £4.50, and lasts for ages cos you only need a small amount. ive converted all my mates onto it, and i think its definitely worth looking into... it really is magic!
