Apply CALENDULA OINTMENT to your heels and the cracks will heal within days. You can buy it from any Homeopathic Store, Homeopathic medicines are easy to find in India. Are they not ? :-)
Take Care and God Bless you !

Best Cracked Heel Cream

If the person in question is a diabetic, he/she really SHOULD be under the care of a medical professional, because of the high risk of infection (and possible amputation). Same thing if there's signs of infection in a nondiabetic person---redness and puffiness, foul odor and drainage, pain, and feeling of heat in the wound. You do NOT want to lose a foot....

If you are talking about just plain (but nasty and painful) heel cracks associated with very dry skin----the best thing I know as a skin emollient is called "Acid Mantle Cream". My sister in law (a neonatal intensive care nurse) got us turned on to it.

It's a nonprescription cream that's used as a base for some other meds (ask your friendly neighborhood pharmacist to order it for you from the PDR). The price for a pound may shock you---expect to pay easily between $50-75 US, but the pharmacy may be able to sell you a smaller portion---but a little goes a LONG way.

This stuff is absolutely fantastic for treating dry skin! My father was a printer and had constantly cracked, bleeding hands, and this worked like a charm. I've used it on small rashes and sores; feels great.

Wash your heel with the plain water using a soft towel. Dry it.
Take a handful of neem leaves and add five tulsi leaves. Prepare a paste. Add 5 drops of mustard oil. Mix the oil thoroughly with the paste for 2 minutes. Now apply this paste in the night to your heels. In 2 days time the cracks will start healing.

You get cracks because you have a build up of callus on you heal. The best way to stop from getting them is at the last part of your bath or shower, when the skin has become soft, use a pumice stone to help remove the callus, then apply vaseline to your heal. This will keep the moisture in. I have supplied a site that can give you the reasons for this and some helpful things to do.

Well i don't know where you are from, but i am in Australia and at the Chemist you can buy this cream called 'NS-8'. It is truly marvelous and works in about 3 days. It is like a miracle. It is formulated for cracked heels and elbows. Try and buy some if you can, or ask your local chemist about it. Good Luck.....it works!!

Soak your feet so the heel becomes soft. Dry gently and apply zinc oxide to the heel cracks. You can buy it at any drug store. It's an old ointment but has always worked the best of any other in our family. In fact, my brother-in-law said he tried everything and I told him about zinc oxide and he was happy because it did heal his heels (no pun intended).

hi nimmi,

Keep ur foot clean.. clean in the sense dont stand in the soap water ( as in washing cloths or dishes). Avoid walking bare footed in the dust.. Apply creams like crack before going to bed. ensure that u dont get up for atleast an hour or so after application of the creams. frequent pedicure should help.
For foot care at home just dip ur foot in warm water with some mild shampoo and clean ur legs with a foot scrubber gently. you should find a relief. bye take care.
