Masturbation is not a sin.

Sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral code of conduct or the state of having committed such a violation. In monotheistic religions, the code of conduct is determined by God. Colloquially, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, shameful, harmful, or alienative might be termed "sinful".

Masturbation is the manual excitation of the sexual organs, most often to the point of orgasm. It can refer to excitation either by oneself or by another (see mutual masturbation). It is part of a larger set of activities known as autoeroticism (also. Autoerotic Response), which also includes the use of sex toys and non-genital stimulation. There are also masturbation machines used to simulate intercourse. Masturbation and sexual intercourse are the two most common sexual practices, but they are not mutually exclusive (for example, many people find the sight of their partner masturbating highly erotic). Some people are able to achieve orgasm only through masturbation and not sexual intercourse. In the animal kingdom, masturbation has been observed in many mammalian species, both in the wild and in captivity.

Masturbation techniques:
Ways of masturbating common to members of both sexes include pressing or rubbing the genital area, either with the fingers or against an object such as a pillow; inserting fingers or an object into the anus (see anal masturbation); and stimulating the penis or vulva/clitoris with electric vibrators, which may also be inserted into the vagina or anus. Members of both sexes may also enjoy touching, rubbing, or pinching the nipples or other erogenous zones while masturbating. Both sexes sometimes use lubricating substances to intensify sensation.

Reading or viewing pornography, or sexual fantasy, are often common adjuncts to masturbation. Masturbation activities are often ritualised. Various fetishes and paraphilias can also play a part in the masturbation ritual; potentially harmful or fatal activities include autoerotic asphyxiation and self-bondage.

Sometimes in order to achieve a larger, more pleasurable orgasm, people may masturbate to near climax, then hold off to reduce excitement for a short while and then continue again. This can be done numerous times and usually results in a more pronounced orgasm in the end.

It can be harmful, but some get sexual pleasure by inserting objects into the urethra, such as urethral sounds. This practice is known as "sounding". Sometimes other objects are used (e.g. ball point pens and thermometers). This is a potentially dangerous practice that can cause injury and infection.

If is done in public , you can say it is a crime.

i'm a christian man ang i believe that is indeed a sin. well, i guess it's one of the toughest temptations i always have and so as the others.

God has given us this sexuality intended only for procreation and selfgiving love. We must always remember that sexual feeling is a gift by God not to be used for pleasure but for His plan which is conjugal love.

Thank you for posing this question, friend. The answer to your question is YES, masturbation is clearly a sin. 1 Corinthians 6:13,14 says, "Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything. Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body." True Christians should abstain from such unholy activity, which defiles the body. Moreover, in verses 18-20, it says that, "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." I encourage you to start living a life of purpose by offering your body as a "living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1) and follow what God says, "I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy." God bless You!

Masturbation is not a sin. It is merely having sex with somebody whom you truly love.
Apparently masturbation will be taught as a college subject soon. Does that mean if you are late to class, the others can go ahead and start without you and you can catch up later?

Its not a sin. There was a commandment to the Jews not to drop their seed on the ground that its "better to put it in the belly of a whore". The writer was trying to make sure the Hebrews increased in number.

We are not ancient Jews.

Steven A,

Only if you do it wrong. lol

A Christian is a Christian because he/she believe's that he/she is a sinner, and needs God's grace. Grace means unmerited favor. That means you don't deserve the awaiting gift that God has for you, but He will give it to you anyway.

Our text comes from the Bible first. So let me show you a verse:
Romans 1:5
I received God's grace because of what Jesus did so that I could bring glory to him.

That's in line to what I have been telling you. It's not earned, it's what Jesus did that earned it.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

We all have sinned, and fallen short of His standard of perfection. But we are justified in His eyes through the work of Jesus.

Look up "propitiation." That's what Jesus was able to accomplish through no mistake.

So what makes me different to those who merely say, " I beleive in God."?
It's faith. But what definition of faith am I using? ( Remember to always look up words, even if you think that you understand them.)
Faith, as I have learned it, is: An action, based upon belief, sustained by confidence.
So it is not just simply believing, there's action involved.
Example:
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The action, belief, and confidence are within that verse. True faith, and that's what makes you saved. You have to trust God. It's all about Jesus, you have to trust Jesus.
