I would love a good little beagle. they could run a while, and not too fast, and could hop up on the bed for a little nap too. be sure to checkk out my questions today....

The Australian Shepherd tops my list, followed by
Border Collie, then Boxer, then Cocker Spaniel.

Dogs. I love dogs. They make better companions than most people do.
BCs of course are my favorite dogs! They are terrific dogs. Just gotta have a job to do though. They are sooooooo smart and will become bored easily if left alone for long periods. Then they will create their own entertainment like excavating the backyard, fence jumping to visit neighbors and even can become obsessive with chasing objects etc. I have three and they are with me all the time. BCs are very loyal dogs. Mine could careless about frisbees.

My favorite breed of dog is the Chihuahua.
They are the world's smallest purebred breed, which fits perfectly with me & my family because we live in a condo.
They are very intelligent which also means they can be stubborn & if not properly trained a Chihuahua will gladly rule your household!!

I have a hard time deciding between Beagles and Basset hounds. They are both just cute as can be. Course then there is the English Bulldogs.

dog is the species, you must mean variety. Border collie is the variety of dog, you must mean strain. Just the normal border collie, the australian sheep dogs are nice.

I love all dogs.I used to raise Redbone Coonhounds.Iv raised 4 litters at once.
Now I have mutts lol & a Siberian Husky.

Pit Bull! They are gentle, loyal, loving, all heart. They served alongside our soldiers in the civil war, WWI and WWII, and today make great rescue and assist dogs. Don't believe the hype... it is *all* in how they are raised!

my first dog was a cavelier king charles spaniel and she was the most beautiful dog in the world. so cavs will always hold that special place in my heart. RIP Gem.
