A medium chocolate color with sky blue accents or light teal accents. Warm autumn colors.

If you check out high end furniture stores you will see lots of black and white patterned fabrics.

As an interior decorator I would do at least one red accent wall with taupe on the rest of the walls.

For hardwood floors I would choose medium tones with a co-ordinating area rug.

If you like to mix patterns or stripes choose one large pattern, one medium, and one small.

Mix up the types of textures and materials in the rooms also. Metals, woods (up to 3 types of wood are ok), glass, lush fabrics, etc.

Good Luck!

as a painting contractor of luxury homes I work with designers almost daily and the hot colors are shades of brown ...colors like ..nomadic desert ...latte ...dune etc...also for accent walls ,they seem to be much bolder with high contrast...reds ...burnt oranges...etc...exteriors are going in reverse with colors from the 70s ..blues greens, reds yellows..gone are the days of every home in the development being a shade of beige...now all exyeriors have a different color...also back to interiors, more and more people are going for the trowled on finishes as in venetian plaster and similar finishes.
