Since God made us and knows what we're going to do, does it make sense for him to puish us? No. God is made up.

You would be insane cause you want it to kill people then punish it for doing so.
This is not the same with God, as He doesnt make you kill people and thus if you do when he says not to He can punish you (at least Christian God, I cant say about what other religions say)
God has given humans free will to worship him and to do what they waqnt with their lives so that those that worship him are free to do so and are true believers. Thus all the problems to do with the earth are generally caused by humans and it is the human race that should be blamed for their actions.

To david j:
There are more relgions then just Monotheism based religions, for instance Paganism, Hindu and Buddhism are Polytheism based and thus believe in many gods

According to the three laws of robotics, as has conventional sci-fi followed since Asimov wrote "I, Robot" you could not maufacture a robot that would injure a human. That makes question number one a moot point.

Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"....

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Here I agree with you. God, and the religious beliefs of man were made by man, for man. These laws and dogma are just a roadmap for us humans to stay in line, and also provide hope that our good deeds will bring reward in the "after life."

The flaw in your argument is the robot. As you state it, its sole function is killing people. It can't do anything else. People have the power of choice. In fact killing is NOT their primary urge. (well, most of them anyway)

The best you can get out of this one is a God who punishes people for violating a moral code that hasn't been universally explained.

Ill agree with 'man from utopia' and you do make me (us) proud to be an atheist.

Only some religious nut would come up with that question.

If you made a robot that can learn from being punished, you would be a crazy multimillionare genius.

your totally right....it makes no sence at all...plus religion is very selfish anyway because if a follower didnt think they were going to get anything out of it im 100% sure they wouldnt follow it in the first place, so it all just about self benifit or fear of punishment.

God has given you the ability of thinking and diciding.you are the one who will determine how your eternal life would be.that's why human beings are unique creatures of God opposite of angles.and God hasn't made you to kill people! he has made you to obey him and be honest. If you're not you'll go to hell and if you are you'll go to heaven. It's just that simple!
to mike J:we don't have a thing as christian God or Islamic God.these are two religions with different levels of teaching us how to live.there's only one God.and yes our religion (Islam) says be honest and peaceful.I don't know any religions which encourages you for killing people.
