(Yes, sweetie, I hate it too...)

The very best cheese to me is still the old fashioned Cheddar cheese!

I like to melt it either in the m/w or if in the fry pan I add a few drops of water (to make some steam) On the "barby" just close the lid. (Be careful to keep an eye on it, if it gets too melted it all starts to run off the burger!)

I also love a slice or two of bacon on top. I like thin slices of dill pickles.

(But I never ever use "processed" cheese slices. I read once that during a court case, because of the ingredients used, "processed" cheese was actually declared NOT to be legally an actual "food product." Ugh!)

Cheddar

If you're making your own on the bbq, I prefer putting it on the patty and letting it melt slightly and then serve. One slice is plenty.

I love pickles. Usually dills but I also like sweet pickles. Of the pre-sliced, Vlassic dill slices are the best.

Don't you hate it when people give LONG answers? Anyway, 1 piece of melted cheddar is great with a couple of dill pickle slices. Mmmmm......

I like blue cheese with avocado. But I have no problem with cheddar or mozzarella. If I use cheddar, then I would like any pickle with it.
