We can't, 9/11 proved that. As long we hold ourselves up as better than everyone else, we hold ourselves up as a target.

Foreign Policy needs to change. It supports unpleasant people so that multi-national corporations make money and thus employees in that country end up with a ridiculous salary. Communism is not an answer even though they promise a lot.
The laws need to be made so that the spirit of the US Constitution is not destroyed they way it is being watered down today. Better methods of investigation can be made. The Patriots Act I and II ALLOW sloppy investigation and use fear that Americans willingly loose civil liberties and civil rights. The US is Rule by Law NOT Rule of Law.
Better methods of investigation but it will be tedious and boring.
Share information with allies and inform the American public.

After reading some of these questions tonight (like this one) Guess I'm not the only one who has a funny feeling about this whole ordeal. This deal with N. Korea??? There looking for war.. The only pictures from there seem to be parts of their million man army. w/ equip. Goose stepping, In a "im ready" trance. Hope we don't "call their bluff" without serious thinking..If you look at it from a different view.. "it's better than any movie Hollywood put out"

By not interfering in the political setup of the country and not going against the popular rule of that country....take for example Lebanon{hezbollah has a very strong support bases and the recent war has won them laurels}...american have just dug their own graves, only time will show when they will be laid to rest.....
