So far for about a year now, I have a low sexual drive, but I have some random sexual thoughts. I also experience giddyness.

What are the specific sexual side effects? Does it increase or decrease anything?

Risperdal (Risperidone) can cause a loss of libido and it can even cause very heavy menstrual bleeding in women. Since this works by blocking the uptake of neurotransmitters, among them dopamine, it elevates the hormone, prolactin, and so can cause lactation (production of milk in the mammory glands). Elevated prolactin levels causes impotence (lack of sex drive and performance).
You mention giddyness. Risperdal causes hypotension, which is low blood pressure. So that explains dizziness or giddyness.
This drug also causes increased dreaming.

In my '06' pill book it doesn't list any sexual side effects at all,However it does say that this drug can cause the body to produce more og the hormone prolactin which can cause a person to produce milk when not pregnate. So if it is messing with hormones it could very well likly mess with you sex drive. But all my books say nothing like that at all. You need to either call the drug store and ask, they will always be happy to tell you if you are have a reaction, or your doctor. But I am sure there is more information on this drug that is more indepth than what I have. Any time a person takes a medication, more so for medication for mental illness or seizures the medication can cause a wide selection of side effects not listed in some pill books or the info given out at the drug store. There are online sites where you can get further information.
