There is a new product called REVOLUTION ..It will kill worms as well as fleas an ticks...As it is new, the vets are encouraged to give the first treatment for free..Call all of the vets in your area, and ask if they carry it, and if they give the first one free..Otherwise, it costs about $13 and really works so much better and safer then the stuff you can get at a pet supply shop...
If you decide to medicate on your own, look for Nemex 2, in your local pet shop..However it will cost about the same and not get rid of as many types of worms..

I am assuming this is in relation to a pet you own. Dogs sometimes get intestinal worm infestations. These can be easily treated at home with proprietary deworming kits, which you can get from your local pet store or chemist. Just follow the instructions on the pack.

For a broad spectrum dewormer, you need to go to the vet. My vet prescribed DRONTAL when one of my dogs had tapeworm. Drontal is a pill, but you need to get it from your vet. Probably not a bad idea to give a follow-up treatment.
The dewormers you find at the store are primarily for round worms, they work, ok, but the best bet is to get a trusted dewormer from your vet.
Don't take chances with your dogs health.

Yes, you can do it yourself. Simply buy medicine for deworming and follow the instructions written on the label. It can be mixed with the food or with the water. Try it.

deworming is getting rid of internal parasites in dogs and puppies.
yes you can get over the counter wormer and for roundworms and hookworms nemex 2 is safe and effective, follow directions closely as stated on bottle, but dogs also get other worms that this does not take care of and it is best to go ahead and have done safely at your vets office.
Thank you chetco for that info on REVOLUTION have not heard of this yet and i will definately check it out.

yeah, u can do it yourself. first, find something dirty or rotten to eat...you'll be vomiting soon and diarrhea will take place but it's a normal body reaction so don't worry. second, continue eating dirty food and sooner or later 'KAZZZAM'--"you've got worms" inside your intestines. right then it's the perfect time for De-worming. you can try your dog's brand of deworming solution. but i'm warning you, it does'nt taste great!!

shots or pills, the stuff you can buy at the pet store is no where near as good as what the vet uses.
