Assuming you're talking just ROK vs DPRK all by themselves, definetely DPRK.
Yeah they still use AK-47s, they still use T-34s (old Soviet tanks from WW2 LOL), and they don't even have computers to guide their missiles or anything like that. They use the good ol' handcrank. KPA soldiers are constantly taught NEVER to waste ammo, pilots receive around 20-30 hours of flight training a year (a little more or less, I might be wrong), and oil is almost nonexistant. North Koreans are also known for their high value of stamina and speed (despite their average height of 5 feet. They hardly ever grow. All they ever get to eat a day is a handful of rice), and basically what they do is they have somebody with a gun behind a group of soldiers, and the soldiers are commanded to run as fast as they can for insane long periods of time, or they get shot. North Korea also has an insane value on patriotism, they are literally brainwashed from childhood that Great Leader and Comrade Kim Il Sung = God. These guys are also genetically tough, suffering countless invasions from China and Mongolia from ancient times. I guess they do use brute force and numbers as an advantage to an extent.
In the South, we have weapons much more technologically advanced than the North, but we lack the leadership, discipline, courage, and patriotism. Although we all love our country, the truth is that we'd have the **** scared out of us seeing thousands of short communists charging into us.
A friend told me you could look at it this way: The USSR and Nazi Germany fighting in the Eastern Front. Not sure if you can depend on that, but yeah.
Thank God for the US... General MacArthur FTW.
I'm sure you do know that NK is actually a paper tiger compared to the US ;)

It wouldn't even be a contest. Kim Jong Il's army is double the size of the South. The US army has helped the South build giant towers that sit alongside the main roads that go up and down the length of the DMZ. These towers are made to explode, thereby falling onto the roads, blocking the advancement of North Korean tanks. There would most likely be a heavy battle, with the North Koreans eventually fighting their way South.
North and South would of course launch missiles. The devestation in the South would be horrific as Seoul is so densely populated. Civilian casualties would reach Biblical proportions. Korea is a puny country, it would take a few days for the NK army to reach the southern most tip of Korea.
North and South have trained for this day. But the sheer size of NK's army would trump anything the South throws their way.

This has been wargamed so often that it drives me to distraction thinking about the sort of carnage both sides would inflict on each other.
You have the 4th largest military in the world (the DPRK) and the 5th largest military in the world (the ROK) facing each other on a frontage of only 155 miles wide, of which only a fraction is passable. They've had over 53 years to prepare for war. The entire peninsula has been militarized, in one way or another, from the layout of cities to roads, to the innumerable bunkers and fallback positions that dot the Korean landscape (and yes, I did live there, still have family there).
The ROK and DPRK militaries, if memory serves me correct, both have three stages of mobilization. Most wargame scenarios give victory to the ROK and Americans, but this usually is with enough reinforcements from units such as the American 18th Airborne Corps coming into theater. Outcomes are entirely variable depending on the level of mobilization the DPRK can achieve in secret versus that of their ROK opponents. The ROK military is by no means "puny" - and the DPRK military is NOT double the size of the ROK forces. The terrain favors the attacker and being channeled into heavily defended corridors such as those in Munsan and Uijongbu aids the ROK forces immensely, never mind the disparity in technology and readiness between North and South. The question is entirely how much surprise can the DPRK achieve and how far they can roll with it.
Victory comes at a cost for either side: Over 3 million dead, military and civilian, within a year of fighting is a conservative estimate, not counting the use of NBC warfare or PLA intervention. Outcomes usually end up with a ROK pyrrhic victory, unless they're really caught by surprise and the DPRK manages to plow through the ROK defenses straight to Seoul. Some stroke of serious bad luck put the ROK capitol city about 50 clicks away from the border, close enough to hit it with artillery. Seoul is the heart of the ROK defense; if they can hold it long enough, they can stall the DPRK and launch a successful counterattack. Conversely, if Seoul falls quickly, no amount of rallying at places like Taegu will likely stem the DPRK advance, especially if American bases such as Osan and Kunsan also fall early under the onslaught.
War resist prediction, even with the sort of wargaming that you can pull on the various factors in play. It should be everyone's hope at least that the question of who will prove the better military in the Korean peninsula will NEVER be answered.

South Korea has under 100,000 troups plus the 30,000 the U.S. has there the North Korean army is over 1 million. With numbers alone it would seem that North Korea would win.

South Korea wins
NK has more troops and short range artillery, but practically no air force and their armour is ridiculously outdated.
SK tanks would walk over them with no problems- especially the K1 and K2 models.
NK brags about 1 milion troops. I guess maybe 1/4 of them have guns.
SK has more people overall, and much better capacity once mobilisation begins

speaking frankly..n' korea would win..just at the start of the war,,its illegal nuclear bombs would wipe away s'korea...but of course after the war..the whole world would be against n'korea...and so,that would be the end of it,so,in a way, both nations would end, directly or indirectly
