I have a very old freezer that doesnt seem to work?

I have a very old Simpson freezer that doesnt seem to be working properly. Im not sure how to turn it up, it looks like it was meant to have a dial on the back to do it but it has gone. I did turn the screw around thoug.
I dont know much about it, but if someone is willing to help I can give you all the info off it, if that helps
(sorry this is all over the place)

Tazzie, lives are more valuable than that old freezer
