I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE VERY POPULAR T-SHIRT(I HAVE TWO) WITH THIS SLOGAN ON IT.

IT IS SIMPLY A FACTUAL STATEMENT.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE WERE INHABITING THIS LAND, WITH LAW AND ORDER INTACT, AND WITH, OH GEEZ WAIT TIL YOU HEAR THIS...WRITTEN LANGUAGE!!!! THAT'S CALLED SARCASM IN CASE YOU DIDN'T CATCH THAT ONE.

YOU ALL ACT AS IF THOUGH WE WERE SOME DUMB CAVEMEN (WHO WERE CAUCASIAN BY THE WAY) WHO KNEW NOTHING.
THE U.S. CONSTITUTION CAME FROM THE LARGEST WRITTEN LAW KNOWN TO ANY COUNTRY...DO SOME GOOGLE, AND YOU WILL SEE...

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE CONFUSED TO THIS "QUESTION" IT IS A STATEMENT FROM A T-SHIRT WHICH HAS A PICTURE OF FOUR WARRIORS, AND ABOVE THE PICTURE IT STATES "FIGHTING TERRORISM SINCE 1492"...

IT'S A VERY BECOMING STATEMENT, I GET COMPLIMENTS ROM WHITE PEOPLE ALL DAY LONG WHEN I WHERE MINE. :)

Native Americans ....... Yes, but since about 1070 when the
last Vikings left, because they were (don't kid yourself) a
WARRIOR CULTURE
Yes, they lived in harmony with nature, but not always with
each other. Guess they were HUMAN like the rest of us.
Shamrock's comment aside, they were probably cleaner than
the tide of Europeans who overran them. History's losers are
almost never portrayed accurately. The winners either.
Being an American with approx. 1/8 Cherokee heritage and
my wife approx. 1/16 Shawnee we were proud to give our
children middle names that reflect this ; Cheyenne and Dakota
The current problems this country is facing over immigration
cannot be intelligently discussed in such simple terms.
Waves of human migration have been going on for milennia,
and building a wall will have little or no effect .
sorry it took so long to reply ,i'm a terrible typer.

Isn't it funny how nobody wants to acknowledge that because it happened so long ago? Like it doesn't count. They will actually say, "I wasn't around then so it doesn't matter!" IT MATTERS! White people came here completely unannounced and without permission. They would NEVER have even survived had it not been for the Native Americans who showed them how to live and how did they repay them? Drove them off of their land because they didn't have a set of written laws or property lines surveyed and drawn out showing THIS BELONGS TO ME!? How asinine is that thinking? It's almost as if Americans say, "Well we're the first ones who put it on paper that it's our land so nah nah nah nah nah!" Still doesn't make it right. What we did to the Native Americans was WRONG and what we are trying to do by keeping out the Mexicans is WRONG!

I don't know about that - but I really like the Native Americans. At least they respected eachother, animals, and nature. They have a lot of respect for life and the world around us. I'm sure if they were able to maintain this land this world would have been much better off than it is now.

'Americans' didnt wipe out the Indians perse...you might consider the onslaught from
a group of people coming from many different countries!!! Good Grief...they were from Spain, France, England, Portugal, Netherlands, Russia (part of Alaska) and Sweden, etc!!!
Do you realize that even the so called native mexicans
are most likely descendants of Spain. The spaniards claimed almost 1/3 of west coast of south america and all of central america including the area now in Texas and Florida.

The past of the Native Americans has nothing to do with immigration and the illegal immigration issue of today. There were no laws on immigration then, there are now.

im appalled at the other responses to this question.we committed atrocites tantamount to hitler,a genocide of horrific proportions,we wiped out so many proud and noble races,it makes me sick, not to mention they were fierce and unbelievably brave in battle, they were not peaceful by any means, but definately were courageous and noble in battle, there were many great indian battles where the indians won not just little big horn, you should read some history.some great figures of heroism and valour have been native americans,we ****** them over and its a shame thats been swept under the rug of our history

OUCH!!!! ....WoW !!! Your gonna REALLY Pi$$-off all the self righteous hate-mongers out there in yahoo-land!!! COOL !!! You got it right though!!! A BIG WALL AND SIGN THAT READS..... WELCOME TO OUR COUNTRY - NOW GO HOME!!! Ha Ha Ha !!! These "people" really crack me up ...It's OK for them to claim to be "native" cause they were born here and think that gives them the right to claim that Mexicans are "illegal" and "aliens" but the true natives need to keep their mouths shut and go back to the rez and smoke some more peace pipe !!! Sometimes , more often than not , it sickens me that I was born white , I am shamed by the sins of (my) people , and dammed by them for speaking of this truth !!!

That is not a very bright remark seeing that most nations were formed through wars and invasions.
