Let's tackle this one thing at a time...
If you choose to believe that life is not a cosmic accident, that's fine, but don't presume to assert that life is meaningless if one doesn't share your belief. It's disrespectful, and arrogant.
If you wish to believe that this being wishes you to live a life that's not harmful to your self and others, that's fine too. However, when you begin to spread this belief (share it as you call it) to my family and myself, your not being "unharmful" at all. What you call faith, I call delusion, and frankly I would much rather you not spread those delusions to those I care about.
You've already made assumptions as to atheists living "meaningless" lives, as well as you being "unharmful", but let me ask you a question. If you chose to "share" these beliefs, and after your first sentence, I asked you to stop, since I don't share them, would you? If you would stop immediately, thank you, and we can part ways with no harsh words. If you continued...even one sentence more...you've just disrespected my personal beliefs, and I will then try "share" them with you...and as I've seen with everyone who continues their proselytizing, the cries of persecution would spring up...as evidenced by this question...simply because you couldn't get your way.

Because I do not believe that life without God is meaningless. It actually gives us more input into this meaning. We get to choose what we want to dedicate our lives to, not simply going on what a lord wants of us. So we don't want to destroy hope. We simply want people to know they are free to find other meaning in their lives.

Because it's fake, and because people are being manipulated through that hope. That's why I'm so interested in destroying it.
But your hope must be very weak, if fellows like us, with nothing but words can even make it stumble. Real hope in real stuff would not be destroyed with so little.

If you try to share your beliefs, they will be placed in the same crucible as all other beliefs. Why does that seem unreasonable to you?
If you don't like that, you might reconsider sharing them in the first place.

First of all, Hope, is to deny someone the notion of a better way. Christ said he came as the Truth, The Light, and The Way. This is the hope we as Christians are to offer. Many people do not want our hope, but we are to continue to offer it inspite of the fury we face. But hope is not limited to just Christianity. Anytime we take away someones notion of a better way, we have taken away their hope, and that is to murder that soul. So as some of the answers previous to mine have shared - there are some that have encouraged your hope sharing, and there are some who have tried to deny you your right to share that hope, to murder your notion of a better way. Just because they don't like your notion of hope, does not make them right or wrong, but when we choose to take a way a persons hope, we are guilty as charged. We should all be more conscientious of what we do and say, lest we be found guilty of denying someones hope. It is the removal of hope that leads to suicide - NAMI proven statistics. Hope is what we each must have, so let each of us share our hope, and when we don't agree with it, let each of us shut our mouths.

There's nothing wrong with YOU having that hope. If it makes you feel good then that's great. I just don't want you to share it with me. I don't care about your hope. Leave me alone. I won't bother you and you don't bother me. That's fair!

Because:
"It is morally as bad not to care whether a thing is true or not, so long as it makes you feel good, as it is not to care how you got your money so long as you have got it."
