I have a favor to ask. Would you please copy, paste and send this short letter below to all the Republicians and Democrats at
http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm. I feel very strongly about it importance to this country. To be honest, I am afraid for this country right now, more than I ever. Please do this for our families and our country.

Dear Republican and democrat leaders.
With all respect, stop all the blaming and arguing among yourselves and work together like there's no tomorrow. We have serious issues with Korea, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, an illegal invasion problem and we obviously need to strengthen our missile defense system. So, what do you say? Can you work together real hard, just this one time, for the people of America?

What about the rest of the world ?

America is not the only country threatened by Bush's foreign policy and acts of terrorism in the name of so called freedom.

No, I will not do as you request, because it would be useless to do it before the elections in November.

Right now both parties are actively searching for a fight with the other party. They want to prove that they are different. They need to find an issue that they can use to disgrace the other party, be it Iraq or the Congressional Page issue, and it is a given fact that there will be more bickering and at least one more crisis before it is all over with.

It makes me mad too, but there won't be any solution to the problem until January.

A noble sentiment, but it won't work. Both Republicans and Democrats have totally different ideas on how problems should solved.

One side believes it would be disastrous to keep fighting in Iraq, the other believes it would be disastrous to pull out. How do you compromise?

One side wants to grow the economy by cutting taxes and letting people keep more of their hard earned money, the other to raise taxes to redistribute them to those they believe that deserve them. How do you compromise on that?

The list goes on and on.

THREE CHEERS, WHITE KNIGHT !!!

But how do we get these bleeding-heart liberals to realize that their desire to "talk" or "negotiate" results in nothing more than more lies and broken promises ??? The rulers of these countries just think that we are nothing but a bunch of fools who will listen to and believe anything they say !!! And, when it comes to difficult times, we don't have the "intestinal fortitude" to do anything but "cut and run". They have been fighting wars for centuries and they know that all they have to do is hold out long enough and, sooner or later, the liberals will gain enough power and we will simply disappear.

sorry, but the guys and gals in washington have bigger things to worry about, like who's paying for their next overseas junket, or contributing to their re-elction coffers. little things like international crises and nuclear weapons tests aren't important at this critical time. the election is coming up, and so is christmas and new years and summer vacations in foreign lands and, well you understand. they just don't have the time to solve any real problems. try again in about four years.

i hate to break this to you but no matter how many letters you send out the leaders of "our" government will not listen to you unless you have a lot of money to donate to their re-election fund or something else you can use to garner their support as messed up as that sounds ALL government officials operate in this manner.
