Well I think its because if you have a crush on someone, you have trouble talking to them because if you screw up, you could lose your chance forever and some people dont want to face that fear.
In your case, just try and find out stuff about her like what she likes and just think of stuff to talk about and it should be alright, finding things to talk about is really hard for some people, its just a matter of if you click with them or not.

I don't know, but the same thing happens to me. I try to pretend like I'm just hanging out with an old friend....it usually helps me to be less awkward :-S

dunno you get so infatuated that its hard to think cause all this dopimine is flowin in your brain. its like getting high (not a joke) your pleasure chemicals get rushed.
