Well I was thinking about making one and giving it to my g/f, so is it too cheesy and unoriginal or is it thoughtful? And to the girls who answer this question would you be happy with this, a Card, a Poem and a night out? Yes, no?

Any girl would love to have their b/f to give them a CD with love songs!! And NO, it's not cheesy!! It shows you care for her by taking the time to make the CD. It is soooo thoughtful and she will feel so very, very special!!! She'll also like the card, poem (written by you??) and a night out on the town!! She will feel like one very lucky girl to have you not only b/c of all that, but b/c you have shown her in a very special way how much you care for her! Good luck!!! She's one lucky girl!!!

I did something like this for my fiancee's first Christmas present, because we were many thousands of mile apart on that Christmas. I made a CD where I talked about how I felt about her. I talked for about an hour on it. I put instrumental medley mix of the Stylistics love songs as a background track. I used the track as a short intro, then it faded into background as I began talking to her, then fade into the foreground as I finished talking. It was the Stylistics song playing on the radio the last time we had been together.

She was very impressed and told me she would keep the CD forever. Guys, cheesy or not, this kind of thing shows you have feelings, and girls love it!

It's not cheesy....but it is rather common, so if you're going to do it, do it in an uncommon way.

What I mean is, do it classy....don't use current stuff, pull out the old school, and put a lot of attention in what you send....don't send a song where the chorus is cool but the lyrics during the song are a breakup or booty call.

Also, do it as a "just because" surprise, not tied into a particular date. Give it to her between dates, or give it to her right before she's about to leave town or something, so she has time to listen to it several times and think about you.

I think it depends on the girl. I think it's cute! I'd be happy with just that though b/c it's from the heart and it's totally the thought that counts and you've definitely put a lot of thought into it b/c finding songs, burning the CD, finding the card and writing up a poem takes a whole lot of time & thinking :) I hope your gf likes it 'cause it's super sweet!

Well i think that that would be very appropriate and yeah it might be a little cheesy but who cares you don't have to always be the big tough guy its cute for a guy to be a little cheesy sometimes. I think it shows there compassionate side and that's not something that comes out in men much any more! So go for it! Hope it goes good! Have fun!

My boyfriend is kind of like the thug type and the other day we drank some wine and toasted and he said "to many more years to come and us being happy." I said, "that was some corny asss shiit." So to answer your question, yes that would be cheesy, but I also thought it was sweet of this thug guy to say that to me.

if it's a cd of songs special to the two of you, no. but generic songs, then, yes. like , the songs you sang for your first kiss, is a good one, first tiem you met is a good one, first dance, good one. that type of thing. bad one. just some crazy love song you happened to record off the radio. a good one would be one with her anem in it as long as it's friendly to the person with her name. ie there was a guy who'se name was earl I used to know. the song I would NOT want to use was good bye earl if I liked him. if I didn't like him, I would use goodbye earl. because in the song, the girls killed him and got away with it. you see what i'm saying? so it really depends on yoru selection. be sure to label the cd with the songs you chose and why you chose them so she'll understand. the title, artist andthe occasion. love shack b52's first party we went to together that sort of thing.

how about a CD-Rom with one love song and a few nice images to be viewed while the song is playing?
I think a full CD of songs would be really cheesy, but then again it might please her.
