I've been fasting for three weeks now, but haven't lost any weight, instead gained it around my tummy. I'm 25, not pregnant female. I don't understand how the weight increased.

Besides going to a gym, are there any pills I could take temporarily to lose weight. I want to lose weight fast, and keep it off.

Eat a healthy breakfast, lunch & small dinner, drink lots of water & do the gym 7 days a week & if you have extra time twice a day. Fasting is the worst thing you could do. If you want to cleanse your body try a mint body wrap, massage & take there advice! Also see your doctor for a diet plan. I've lost 25 pounds this year & have kept it off. Sometimes I indulge just for the heck of it kinda like a reward myself. Good luck

Wellllll, this is the thing about fasting...the only fast thing may be weight loss but as you have learned that is not certain...ask Oprah. She lost around 50 pounds in 17 or so weeks back in the 80s and even with a personal chef and trainer she gained it back plus 20% or so which is normally how that works...

A number of factors must be considered...the more you have to get rid of the faster it tends to come off...your body knows if you want to lose weight that it does not want to give up and that happens when you have little to lose..if you are taking in less than 1000 calories a day your body thinks you are starving(because you are) and it quits giving up the weight so you must exercise and drink LOTS of water...not diet soda; water...plain h2o and when the weight comes back(and it will) you will gain it all in the mid-section as that is easiest for your body to get too when you starve IT again... the human body learned all this back when it was feast or famine and it has never forgotten it.

Ok, I am sure you are well informed about the healthy way of losing weight so I wont go into that. Since you have chosen fasting as a way of losing weight I cannot stop you from doing that no matter what I say. To lose wight while fasting you have to drink lots and lots of water more than you normally do while eating normal. The water will help speed your metabloism and you will lose. But remember to listen to your body (not cravings) and break it when you feel you cant go no further. Dont over do it you might end up in hospital. Some can go for 2 months while others can only do 2 weeks - depending on their health and what the way they normally eat. If you are sure this is what you want do it cautiously.

Most people would tell you diet and exercise more. Well I've got a way you can lose 40 pounds in 2 months. Want to know why! 1. Set Up Realistic Weight Loss Goals. Don't set a weird goal like 10 pound a day no. 2. Drink Plenty of Water. Drink about 6-8 glass of water per day. 3. Chew More Slowly when You Eat. If you eat 5 smaller a day you will accomplish your goal, but pleas don't eat three enormous meal. That would actual get you fatter. 4. Exercise at least 30 minuets per day. Pleas stay away from pills they could kill you, some pills could help but there is a few that do help. If you follow this correctly you will achieve your weight goal.

I am going to be blunt and I apologize ahead of time........Fasting is the STUPIDEST thing you can do to your body. Yes, there are pills and fad diets out there that you can lose weight fast, but they are unhealthy and you WILL NOT, I promise you, keep the weight off. You need to relax and go to a nutritionist or nutritionist based program to lose weight. Fasting messes up your glycemic index and in turn will make you gain sometimes double the weight you were trying to lose initially. Diet and excersise.....sorry......they are the only safe and healthy way that lasts a lifetime. You don't have to join a gym or do any weird classes. You can just get more active on your schedule. Park the car further so you have to walk more. Take the stairs......etc. It's all about lifestyle changes. I know you can do it!!!!!!

It's hard to believe that you've gained weight. If you eat noting and drink only water for 3 weeks, you're going to lose weight. I'd go to a doctor and ask what the problem is because that doesn't seem normal. Your body has to get energy from somewhere in order for you to move around. If you're not eating, then it comes from your fat.

You are not losing weight because you are not eating your body thinks its in a "starvation" mode. So it will store and save your fat and instead eat away at your muscle and your metabolism will decrease.

However I know there is a book out from that show "celebrity fit club" that proclaims for you to lose weight faster and keep it off. There is no counting calories but I think its strict but it still is much better than starving. He also says you will see big results in 9 days.

Instead of drinking water all the time,try tea,theres a new tea out thats makes you lose inches off you belly and thighs and other hard places,you can find it online for like $43 thats shipping too, and it works wonders,but if you can't afford that drink tea with no added sugar or honey, it will cleanse your body, I recommend sticking with eating fish,rice and uncooked veggies. you should be eating fish at lease 3 times a week. I hope this helps. oh don't push yourself with exercise, that could cuz bloating and more weight gain if your doing it wrong.

You are playing with your health totally - when you starve your body it 'takes' nutrients from other stores ie calcium from bones etc and uses this as ions for organs like the heart. When you then eat a little the body 'grabs all it can, cause it does not know when you will eat again. The best way to loose weight is to not eat meat with starches like - carrots breads, pastas etc. stay away from meat pies too. eat starches with vegetables. Have agood breakfast, yoghurt for 10h00 tea, a fruit lunch and a light supper drink plenty of water. DO NOT skip meals the body will start grabbing again, Stay HealthyLOL

It's because your body needs the calories in food to boost your metabolism. You need to eat to lose weight, just be careful about what you eat and how much. And drink lots of water.
