This wives tale REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!

Right before you go to bed, tuck a lump of Baking Soda under your lib, right on the sore. It should be enough to make a small mess. Repeat this for 3 nights in a row. If youve gotten canker sores in the past, you know they usually last AT LEAST 7 days, sometimes longer. Well no more! 3 days tops if you try this. And I promise on the 3rd day you'll even be able to eat pizza!

P.S. Please don't use salt! OOOUUCCHHH!! All it does is cause SEVERE pain!!!! It won't go away any faster. Also, I've tried hydrogen peroxide for over 20 years, and I can tell you with supreme confidence that it does not help at all in any way shape or form. It doesn't make it go away any faster and it doesn't make it any less severe. So seriously forget the H2O2.

But here is a helpful tip if you plan on eating something spicy while your sore is at its worst: Right before you eat, dab some mustard on the sore. Now, I am warning you now, for about 5 seconds, you are going to wish you were DEAD! However, once the excruciating pain is over, the entire sore will remain completely numb (almost like novacain) for about 10 minutes, just long enough to get down that Cajun Chicken sandwich you brought home. Hurry up though, it won't last forever.

A canker sore should heal on its own in10 days. If not you need to see a Doctor. There is an effective prescription dental paste to numb the pain and speed up the healing.

Tincture of Myrrh may help.
Dissolve 1-2 tablets of DGL in your mouth and swish 3-4 times daily.
Peroxyl Mouth rinse helped me a lot.
Good luck!
(Take a high potency multivitamin to prevent them in the future).

i have asked that question before. rinsing with warm salt water helps. i have been told that medical grade tee tree oil is very helpful but i have not bought any yet so i can not say it works for me. Many toothpaste have something called SLS in it wich makes it worse. acity foods make it worse. Let me know if you find something amazing because I get them all the time. I have four right now and it makes it hard to eat and drink

It stings for a lil bit, but I use organic apple cider vinegar! Just put some on a cotton ball and place it on the sore every few hours. It will go away before you know it!

Warm water and baking soda, or a little hydrogen peroxide. Basically, you need to get rid of all the bacteria in your mouth and either of these will do the trick.

I use carmex, but try not to cake it on or people can tell you've caked it on.
