This is not a question but a request for prayer for my son who is serving our great country in a war torn Iraq. He is 20 years old and has becoome really depressed since he arrived over there and is sucidal. He believes in prayer he was raised in church and but he is having flashbacks about his biological mother abusing him a as a child. There is a few other things that is bothering him and has him so depressed that he is threating to put his m16 in his mouth and pull the trigger. I have contacted the Red Cross and they have contacted his company commander and the commander has taken his firing pin and his ammo until he can get his life back on track. This war is taking it's toll on our soldiers over there and they need to come back home.

My precious friend, I know of no pain greater then for a parent to know their child may be in danger and not being able to help. I do however want to point out that you have helped your son far more then you may realize. You are calling for prayer.

My LORD, we come before You to intercede for this young man. We ask for a hedge of protection around him to prevent all harm even from himself. Let him know that there is healing in the nailed scarred hands from all the things that have harmed him including the abuse he suffered as a child. Thank you Lord.

There is an interactive Yahoo group for those who are or have suffered abuse and it is for both men and women although we do focus on abused men. We also welcome the abuser because we feel it is important for them to find ways to overcome this too.

It will be my honor my sister, thank the lord of heaven and earth that you placed this request, i will pray consider it done. If it is okay, give me names and i will tell the church to pray and be of good cheer for every thing i have prayed for i have received, imagine the church full of spiritual men and women praying for the same prayer, it is not an uncertainty, it is a guarantee. Satan wishes to kill him, he is beloved by our god and is a threat to his kingdom. That young man has a great purpose for his life and his mother beat him for god wants to take the place of his mother and his father and raise him in his likeness. May our lord our god protect him and send one with his message to him. He is to be a soldier of the living god, serving with strength and loyalty.
And i understand, i hate war for the brave die leaving children to be raised by wicked men. How i wish they were home raising son and daughters with the same bravery which sent them over there. My brave soldiers, i will miss you every day and pray that i may see you again in the kingdom of the lord our god Jesus Christ.

I hope the best for your son, and I hope that he will come home safe. Is has not only been this war, but all of them that we've had in history, because the survivors are left with so many gruesome memories.

President Bush needs to take action to send our soldiers home!! What (not who) is he trying to protect? His oil business relations?!!
Let the other countries fight their own war.
Or maybe when United States takes a step back and let issues be, one of our allies might take charge for once!!!
We are always trying to ACT like the heroes of the world.

Our soldiers need to come home. We don't need infantrymen there to fight the war. We can take other action. We have the airforce. Take action from the air!! We need to stop sending soldiers there. We need to stop this.
....
I am sorry. The focus of this instance is your son. Even though I don't know him, I pray for him.
I pray for his safety. My thoughts are for him to come home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I will pray for you and your son. I am a Marine and was stationed in Fallujah, Iraq so I know a little of what he is going through. Let your son know that if he needs to talk to someone who can identify with him, if only a little, to email me.

I will pray for him. I am already praying for two soldiers who are in Iraq right now. I will pray to God to protect him from the enemy and to protect him from himself so that he does not hurt himself. I believe in God and in prayer, and I believe that God does answer our prayers. I will pray for his safety and for God to heal him from the abuse that he suffered in the past.

This is not a prayer forum, there are hundreds of them on the web, go there.

There is no god, so prayer is a waste of time. Do you think the people on those airplanes on 9/11 were praying? Like they had never prayed before? Did it help?
