My husband and I were married on leap year and every leap year we have decided to go somewhere remote and renew our vows both as affirmation of our love and for fun. We want to do as many famous spots in natures' settings as time will allow us to have leap years. We are coming up on anniversary #2 in 2008. We like to do things different and unique. Where are some places besides the obvious such as Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, or Niagra Falls.

we did ours at the renaissance festival on love and romance weekend...exactly one year from the day we married. got a little official certificate and everything, plus free celebratory cake after!

dunno if it's possible where you are, but it was kinda cool for us.

maybe vegas...top of the stratosphere at dusk, with the whole city behind you, gradually all lighting up.

Go to my website listed below and do a little research. Click on the Vacations tab at the top and see what catches your eye. We have everything from all-inclusive beach resorts to cruises. If you can imagine the place we have it. Dont hesitate to email me if you need help. How about on a hillside bluff in Ireland? Or on a Gondola ride in Venice? If youre looking for unique theres always the crystal clear waters of Tahiti. Let your imagination be your guide. Good Luck!

There is a beautiful place called Saint Mary's in Glacier National Park. It's in Montana and right next to the Canadian Border. It is amazingly gorgeous and remote while still being near a couple of small cities.

Mar-Lu-Ridge, Jefferson, Maryland. You have to call ahead and make plans. There is all kinds of things for people to do. Hiking, Resturant, Pool, Cabins, A Frame Non Denominational Church, Confrence hall, Reception areas.

It really is worth checking out. It overlooks the Patomic River and Harper's Ferry, Maryland. I proposed to my wife at the base of the cross found in the web site below.

I would go to Gretna Green in Scotland, the ultimate runaway wedding destination. Renew your vows over the anvil in the blacksmith's shop.

May I suggest a cruise? It is beautiful, you wake up in a new place everyday! Niagara Falls is okay (I live in Buffalo) but I think its fun for maybe a day or two, and then boring...
