brown your beef, take the meat out of pan.. keep the drippings.. add two tablespoons of flour and a bowl of water... stir and let thicken.

Traditionally gravy is made from the fat, etc. left in the pan after cooking your meat. I would make it after I had cooked the hamburgers. You do not need the ground beef in the gravy! When your burgers are cooked and resting, heat the pan a little higher and add a liquid to de-glaze the pan,[red wine, beef stock,whatever.] Stir to lift all the brown bits from the pan until you have a thick liquid[reduced]. Turn down the heat and add -tomato ketchup, or soy sauce or worcestershire. Then add some cornflour/ stock mix or plain flour and stir until it thickens. You can thin this gravy with a little cream, add a little black pepper and serve.

Brown Meat, Ha! Dang this all sound familiar. The First answer is more of a white Gravy. The Second answer is more of a Brown Gravy. Both are good. I guess I like the Brown Gravy better on a Hamburger. Call me when it ready and I tell you how well you did!

Brown the beef in a skillet. Then take out half of the liquid. Sprinkle with 2-3 Tbsp. flour and brown on low for about 4-5 minutes. Add milk or water or broth and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil and adjust the liquid to desired consistancy.

this is a variation. Brown your ground beef. In a seperate pan melt a few tablespoons butter, after melted, add few teaspoons of flour at a time, mix well, let the mixture brown, then add the fats from your beef, and beef stock or just water. Browning the flour takes out all the starchy flavor and makes it better

Pan fry it slowly... take a little thickening, (made from Wondra and water) remove the meat from the pan, and stir the thickening into the juice.. add water, if needed (just enought to make it the consistency you desire.) Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over boiled potatoes.. with a little button on em..

This was one of my grandmas favorites and it's so easy. Just brown your hamburg , then add one can cream of mushroom soup. Simmer for about 5 min. and it's done.
