He loves playing with them, I think its the noise more than anything. Anything like that out there that won't suffocate him??

Paper bags, they love them. If the crinkly bit is what drives him nuts then do what I did. I bought a crinkle mat from the pet store. Or you could put a plastic bag into a pillow case so that is still crinkles under his little paws, but he can't chew or swallow the plastic.

I would get a crinkle sack. They sell them at pet stores, or you could figure out how to make one yourself. They are cloth covered tunnels or bags, that have a crinkly material inside, and they make that noise when the cat touches them. They also make tons of toys that make that sound as well. I agree that the regular plastic bags aren't that safe.

Hi,
The Purrrfect thing to use to replace a plastic bag and is safe to use the fabric called Taffeta. It has a crispness and stiffness like a plastic bag and it won't suffocate your kitten.

Don't buy the real silk, just buy the synthetic fiber.

A brown paper shopping bag can't be beat as a cat toy.

When he goes in it, scratch and tap on the outside of it....you'll both have a ball!!!!!

(They make fabric cat sacks with crinkly-noise stuff inside the fabric layers that you can buy....but what I suggested is a lot cheaper.)

Also....if you can still find them....red laser pointers are a BLAST with kittens and cats. They love to chase the red 'bug' on the wall. Helps keep them trim, too.

Pet stores sell a sack for cats made of fabric that crinkles like a plastic bag. I know I saw them at Petco.

Maybe you can tie a plastic bag to a stick and then you should just wave it around and it won't suffocate itself and even if it did, you would be right there if the plastic bag on the stick thing didn't work out!
