Are you Muslim or Jewish? Those are really the only reasons I can think of why this would be a problem. If that's the case, you need to speak to her as to why you are eating pork. If this ISN'T the case, well, buy bacon and cook it every morning until she understands you like it.

If it is due to religious beliefs that bacon can't be eaten, then respect your parents and don't eat it at home, eat it when you are out and about.

Fix it yourself,I am 46 and I couldn't go without bacon and my 2 year old and 6 mnth old grandaughters love it ,too,just eat in moderation!Tell your mom you should have choices!I am skinny and so are my grandbabies!Just soak the grease out!What is her deal?

Why wouldn't she understand?
Maybe it is more that she knows how unhealthy bacon is and so she wants to severely limit your access to it.

tell her how bad sausage is, and how much you love it... but you'll settle for bacon.. maybe she'll compromise... tough call since mom serves breakfast... at worst, settle on turkey bacon, but go for at least center-cut
