Anxiety about homosexuality is common. If straight people don't know, then the gay people hold the anxiety (fear of telling someone). If gay people come out, then straight people must deal with the anxiety of knowing someone who is openly gay. (There are matters of degree, of course.)

This is related to religion & spirituality because homosexuality has turned out to be the leading cause of schism in the Christian church in the 21st century. It is causing the greatest degree of intra-creed vitriol since the slavery debates that split most protestant denominations during the US Civil War. Gay people are being barred from priesthood for coming out, excluded from church membership, and at the same time, some religions are showing openness and acceptance. Anyone who has not become aware of this has not listened to the news over the last 5 years.

I really don't care if people are gay or not. It doesn't even bother me if they shoe eachother affection in public. Actually if they're attractive lesbians, it pretty much turns me on.

No. I think the time has certainly come where no one should be ashamed and anxious and try to hide their sexual preferences. This is not the dark ages and it's time the heterosexual community gets a grip on the fact that there is more out there than itself.

It doesn't bother me in the least. Then again I never had a homosexual experience when I was younger. The people that are really vocal about it had a homosexual experience when they were younger and feel guilty about it now or want one and just can't deal.

Why should you have to protect someone else about your sexuality? It is no one elses business who you sleep with. That is your business. If they can't accept it, that is their problem. I told my gay friend that who he sleeps with was his business, that I loved him for the person he was, and I also told my daughter that I loved her no matter what she is still my daughter, she is bisexual. I am straight.
