Gen 21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
Gen 21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
Gen 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against [him] a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against [him], and lift up her voice, and wept.
Gen 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God

Continuation:
Gen 21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he [is].
Gen 21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
Gen 21:19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
Gen 21:20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

Did you really read my post? i doubt.

You said all prophets before Muhammad were jews? what about Adam,Noah,Abraham etc?
You ask Why Muhammad (sas) was not jew?
read what Jesus said in bible:
Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Well, this is an interesting question - but what I don't know is, does it matter? To the best of my knowledge (limited in this area) the story of Ishmael is not a particularly pivotal one in the Bible. I'm afraid that it is probably poor editing. While the Bible is proclaimed to be the Word of God - it has been written down by faulty humans. Any writing, after 2000+ years and however many translations (you don't think the original is in English, do you?) is likely to have picked up a typo or two along the way.

Okay, I know some very religious people will get angry with me, but it seems reasonable to me.

Oh, and I'm sure if you look at translations of the Koran - it will have inconsistencies as well.

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THIS TO BE ACCURATE AS FOLLOWS SINCE IT WAS WRITTEN BY MOSES MUCH EARLIER THAN THE QURAN
1 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised. 2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. 3 Abraham gave the name Isaac [a] to the son Sarah bore him. 4 When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him. 5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
6 Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me." 7 And she added, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."

8 The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast. 9 But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking, 10 and she said to Abraham, "Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac."
11 The matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son. 12 But God said to him, "Do not be so distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring [b] will be reckoned. 13 I will make the son of the maidservant into a nation also, because he is your offspring."

14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the desert of Beersheba.

15 When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. 16 Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she thought, "I cannot watch the boy die." And as she sat there nearby, she [c] began to sob.

17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, "What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation."

19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

20 God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer. 21 While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt.

There is no evidence that the Bible has ever been altered. Ancient manuscripts seem to show a consistency across the centuries.

Why don't the Muslims show us the unaltered original version of Genesis if they have it? Why didn't Muhammad keep an original version of the Bible in order to show us how the Jews & Christians changed it?

And why are all of the prophets, except Muhammand, Jewish? Maybe God never called Muhammand, since there has never been a prophet who was not Jewish?

Here's more the Angel of the Lord said to Hagar.

Genesis 16:11-12
"The angel of the Lord said to her further, Behold, you are with child, And you shall bear a son; And you shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has given heed to your affliction. And he will be a wild donkey of a man, His hand will be against everyone, And everyone's hand will be against him; And he will live to the east of all his brothers."
So the very nature of Islam was prophecied long ago.

Probably because the Bible is the story of Yeshua and HIS family thru-out the years, from Adam to Mary.

and I would like to add this :
Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

What great nation came from Ishmael except the Muslims?
And prophet Muhammad is one of the direct descendant of Ishmael pbuh.

Ishmael did go to Heaven when he died. He didnt plan on a false religion coming from his descendants. I bet he would've mourned the thought of such a catastrophe.

Moslems can never seem to get over the fact that they have no claim to the priesthood. They even made up their own religion by merging Judaism, Christianity and there own pagan traditions into what they call Islam. Get over it for goodness sake.
