Go to the store and look at different kitchen towels. Look at the colors that are used in them. Basically - If the colors are being used in a fabric they will work for the wall colors. Buy a set of the towels that you just are "in love with" and use them as your inspiration. Pull the wall color from there (usually a neutral) and use the other colors for the accents (additional towels, the throw rugs for in front of the sink, a bowl for the table, ect). White is a neutral, it can go with anything and can be easy "covered up" with throw rugs. Have fun with it.

I would go with a wall color similar to the honey oak floor. Use a very slightly darker shade for trim around kitchen windows and for the cabinets. This makes the two rooms flow together. Navy blue window treatments and an area rug the approximate color of the walls should pull it all together.

a chocolate milk color would look nice since the honey oak is next to it or just contrast and paint a few walls navy or a very nice airy blue....don't use a dark color if you have a smaller kitchen....yellow might work...just go to a place like home depot and find some paint samples that might work.....find the navy closest to the floor and maybe walk to the flooring section and take a piece to compare to the colors and see what you come up with...but the only thing that matters is if YOU like it.....good luck!

Contrast color and be bold! Go with a Burgundy Wine Color for the walls, or even a Hunter Green...both make for a great look with Honey Oak...and they make so many cute decorative frames to enhance those colors. Looks awesome with pewter colored faucets.

Some friends of mine have bright yellow walls, white cabinets and blue dishes and accents through the kitchen. It looks very sharp!

Basically, any warm toned color would look fabulous with navy blue. Yellows, oranges, reds or browns.

Personally I have one of the rooms in my house painted like this, navy blue ceiling and a very light blue on the walls, I think something like that would look awesome with the navy blue diamonds in your linoleum.

i would go for some more neutral color like beige, cream, but if you do choose gold, try a softer gold, nothing bright or flashy.
nuetral colors are best too if you decide to re-sell you house.
