Evolution of what? This myth that you speak of is the only reason mankind is as good as it is.It may not look like its done a great job,but lets consider a few things.A book called the Bible has made it through many attempts to destroy it.Evolution has never been able to prove its point. And millions of people have had experiences with a true loving powerful God and we get to call Him Dad.Alcoholics ,drug abusers, child abusers get set free on a regular basis. It has not been a perfect system because we are not a perfect people. If you're not afraid-sit down tonight with a prayer- God if you are there,I want to believe.Show me what all these others have found so that I may know your love also. You're laughing right now,but He won't turn you down.

There is nothing wrong with mythology. In fact, one could easily argue it is a very powerful form of communication (poetry and dreams use such symbolism to communicate deeply into our minds).

Where the Christians are lost is that they keep feeling like they need to defend their mythology as history, science and fact.

They should dig to the meaning of their mythology and understand its effects on the psyche if the want to prove to others its usefulness.

But I have no pony in this horse race... ;-)

It's funny how those who believe Evolution think this makes them "intelligent." When you examine Evolution carefully, you find that it's inaccurate and illogical. Believing it is convenient because it allows people to be free from personal accountability. Very intelligent men and women believe the evidence supports a Creator rather than chance.

Sort of. The US is more religious today than it was when the Declaration of Independence was signed, but it is less religious than in the 50s. We seem to be going through cycles of religiosity, with the peak of each cycle diminishing compared to the peak of the previous cycle. It will probably take another 100 years to get beyond Christianity at the rate this is happening.

Evolution of intelligence? haven't seen any signs of that. we have a increase of information but nobody seems to know what to do with it.without having to either change their views or go against the Establishments views.and the Establishment is very hard to even listen to any changes in possible views. to much trouble and embarrassment in rewriting the change in to the books.

Religion's primary function is to help people deal with the unknown. If people start learning things, then they don't need to rely on gods as much. So I'd say yes. Unless, of course, people refuse to listen to logic, which I find happens alot nowadays.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

REPENT AND BE BAPTISTED IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
