I'm making a recipe that calls for 3 ounces of strawberries, how do I figure this??

Fruit, fresh

strawberries, sliced---------½ cup = 4 ounces

apples and pears (3 medium-small)

raw and sliced------------------ 1 pound = 3 cups
cooked and chopped------ 1 pound = 1 2/3 cups
puréed------------------------------- 1 pound = 1¼ cups

bananas (1 medium)

mashed------------------------------- ¼ pound = 1/3 cup

blueberries, raspberries, and other small berries

whole---------------------------------- 1 pint = 2 cups

peaches (4 medium-small)

sliced---------------------------------- 1 pound = 2½ cups

Since all strawberries are a different size, you would have to chop a bunch up first and then fill a measuring cup to the 3 ounce level.

It depends on the size of the strawberries. Are they really big or itsy bitsy? If they are on the big side then I would say about 3 or 4 of them.
