There are a couple sources for scholarships and grants out there. It is free to access them. However, it does take a little time and filling out applications to get them.

First, 35 states in the United States offer a website where students can apply for college and state tuition grants. You can locate it by doing your state college grant on either Google.com or Yahoo.com.

Second, if you are currently attending high school, the high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships available to its students.

Third, most college financial aid offices and their websites have a list of private scholarships offered by companies and outside organizations.

Fourth, do a search on Google.com or Yahoo.com for your intended college major and scholarship. There are certain college majors that offer scholarships from various organizations and companies.

Finally, there are free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Just remember, most of these scholarships are looking for a particular characteristic or trait, hobby, or school activity.

Good luck!
