Is there a way in Microsucks Word to highlight a sentence or paragraph etc and enter a series of buttons that changes the letters from lowwercase to caps or caps to lowercase?????

shift + F3 toggles through cases. Its the best way - try it.

Sorry you are having a "bad Word day." Personally, I really like it.

To highlight text, select the text, then click the highlight button, which is to the left of the font color button, on the formatting toolbar.

To change case of typed text, select the text.
cl Format
cl Change case
make your choice

Microsoft Word does have an option for all caps. However, all lowercase is much harder, and I don't think there's a keyboard shortcut even for all caps.

yes...all caps

go to "format" then "font" and then check the "all caps" box
