If I got my dog fixed would it help with his hyperness and peeing in my house?

Yes and maybe.

It would probably calm him down.

If he is peeing to mark his territory -- it will help.

If he is peeing due to poor house-training or a urinary tract infection -- then, no.

If your dog is a male, neutering will curb his need to mark territory and lift his leg. You will need to make sure you get all of the smells out wherever he's been peeing or he'll keep going back to those spots.

If he's hyper, it likely won't help at all. How old is the dog? What breed? A hyper dog is usually hyper because they're not getting enough exercise, or perhaps they're bored because they're not getting any mental stimulation. So, either more exercise or do a little obedience with your dog, play ball, throw a frisbee, do something to keep him challenged.

Most likely, yes it will help. Dogs can smell a female in heat up to a mile away. A lot of times what people consider a "hyper" animal is actually from the dog's hormones going haywire because he can sense a female. A dog is not controlled by thoughts or considerations. Their lives revolve around hormones. Though having it fixed may not solve 100% of the issue, it will definately help out a lot!

getting a dog fixed will always help with the hyperness. It will not neccesarily help with him peeing in your house. You seriously have to train your dog to not pee in the house. Petsmart offers a lot of training classes and the best way to do it is with crate training: buy a crate and put it in small room and put newspaper on it when he soils it he will realize that thats not the best thing cus he gets alll dirty and then you have to give him a bath and most doggies dont like that. so then he will start associating the crate with the room and then with the next room and then witht he house on the other hand you should also take him outside and carry treats in your pocket. When he goes to the bathroom outside you say good dog good potty outside. If you catch him using the bathroom in your house you can scold him.

When a dog (male) gets neutered, it does calm him down due to the decrease in testosterone. He may even become a bit lazy and gain weight. It also prevents future ailments such as prostate and testicular cancer. However, unless the dog is peeing in your house due to some type of medical condition, you probably might want to be more aggressive with house breaking him.

Yes, this will help a lot. The peeing is due to him marking his territory to get a mate. The hyperness is also going to be cut down because he won't be um..humping everything.

It should make him less hyper but he still may pee in your house. Thats a male thing.

Depends on the dog, his personality, how old he his. Many undesired behaviors are not because a dog is intact but how the dog is trained in the first place.

I don't think getting your animal fixed will stop the peeing you have to train them to go out side they don't know to do it by them self

Sometimes it helps males to calm down. It's not guaranteed but 80% of the time it works.
I don't know about the peeing.
Good luck.
