Say that you both are very good looking (9.5 on hotornot.com ha ha) but one partner does not have the sexual interest in the other. (I'm not sexually attracted to him.) However, I love him and he's my best friend and we get along fine.

Is it best to marry someone like that? Or does the sexual thing really need to be there? But say that I've never felt this comfort level with anyone else, and I truly care about him?

Your spouse should be and should always remain your best friend. Nice to see that you did it the right way Personally I must be sexually attracted to the other person.

Well if you love him then that's all there is to it. I think it's good that you fell in love with your best friend. It shows that you two can make it far. The sexual thing has only a little to do with love. If you don't feel sexually attracted to him, then so what? You love him. That's more powerful than love. Sex isn't needed in love. It may come come up every once in a while, but that doesn't mean that you have to have it anytime soon. But you may want children someday. Therefore it will come up sometime after you're married. I, who admire love, hope you two live the rest of your lives together.

It is always best to marry a friend, but you honestly need to get this sexual aspect resolved

Well, I am marrying my best friend. However, attraction is KEY. It took me awhile to finally "become attracted" to him--he pursued me for around 6 months before I agreed to date. But, if I hadn't been attracted to him, I wouldn't have dated him; or,if I had, it would NOT be lasting.

the sexual thing needs to be there or one of you will eventually stray or get bored. marriage isn't about comfort. it is about love and devotion......and a bunch of other crap. if you have to ask us if you should marry him then you should already know the answer is no. you will know in your heart who you should marry. no one can tell you that.

you must be friends first and if you feel no sexual desire at this point try some romance --- its much better to be friends first --- if you are serious the sex will follow in time and will probably be very very good :)

absolutly. Usually they become your best friend after you tart dating anyway, & it is even better, if they have always been your best friend. They know everything about you, & love you for your faults anyway. I married my first real true love, & my best friend, & it is wonderful.
