I'm your typical shy girl but just recently learnt skateboarding from a friend. My other friends were shocked to find out that I know how skate they know I'm not the type of girl that would but I only wanted to try something new. So jst wondering what people think of girls riding a skateboard.

OF COURSE! And anyone who says different probably doesn't want you to turn out better than them! I say go for it. You'll respect yourself more in the end for trying something new. Don't let anyone tell you can't do or try anything because you're a girl. That means nothing in this day and age. It only shows their ignorance. GO FOR IT!!!

There is nothing wrong with a girl riding a skateboard if she is safe. Safety is important. About four years ago I was riding my long board down a steep, long hill and wrecked without a helmet. I was going almost 50 mph when I wrecked and spent the next three months in the hospital. I had three brain surgeries. The doctors didn't think that I would live or walk or talk. God was on my side. I made a complete recovery. If you are going to ride, buy a helmet and use it.

Sure! why on earth not? If you have learnt a new sport you obviously have loads of talent. Go all out and practise for a competition.You must always try to excel at every new thing learnt.Forget about people. Then your confidence and wish to excel will take you to new heights.So, all the best and never look back.It's best to win & then see people admiring you than not try to win at all. most people i know think a girl skating is very cool. most girls are too afraid of trying it cos they might look silly, so if any give u crap about it its just cos theyre not as brave as you. personally i am a wimp who fell off a skateboard sitting on it going down a hill, so i wont be dropping in on anything anytime soon.. but if i had the skills i would for sure
