Mormons look to the Bible for this issue, and belive that it is a sin. Yes there are some gay Mormons. My friends father was a Bishop, and came out afew years later after he was not Bishop anymore. I think just like in other Christian religins, they try to hide it, and even fight their urges. Although I am Mormon I have always been torn on this issue. On one hand it does seem against nature to for a man to be with a man and a woman to be with a woman, but on the other hand I can't believe that it's a choice. I don't see how you can choose which sex you are attracted too. I try to not judge and just work on my own issues.

I am not Mormon but from what I hear about that church and their belief that you have to have as many kids as you possibly can to get all the angels down from heaven so Jesus can come back I would bet they wouldn't like a homosexual who is not able to reproduce. I'm sure there are people who think they are gay in all religions. I personally think people who think they are gay - that is just their challenge to overcome to find God. Some people have addictive personalities and have to choose God over the urge to drink, or do drugs. Some people are lustful for the opposite sex and have to overcome temptation, for some it's the love of money. God puts something in each of us that we have to overcome and choose HIM over the sin. He gives us free will and he wants us to use that will to choose Him.

sexual prefrence is not a choice, when are people going to get that figured out, mostly right wing religious fundamentalists, and the mormon church does not recognize the condition which is homosexualty because they still call it a sin, if it is a creation of god, it is not a sin, or an illness. and as far as gay mormons I think it is mostly don't ask don't tell, if you are a good business man, pay you tithe and have a couple of kids (even if you are gay) you are doing ok

As a Latter-Day Saint, it's frowned on but the Homosexuals are stilled loved as human beings sons and daughters of our beloved Heavenly Father. As the old saying goes Love the sinner, not the sin. Sexual preference is a choice, God allows us to make all the choices we want, even if at times it seems we can't, we do make all the choices in our lives.

We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.
