We've always recognized Jesus (if he was exist, anyway) as a Jewish man; that's nothing new...
It's his proclaim to be the son of god that we do not accept, and I have to admit that I can't see the connection between both facts. Where's the contradiction?

How would you react if you were told by a nowadays Christian guy that he is the true Messiah (and maybe even the son of god!), even though he looks nothing like the Messiah you've been told about.
He is Christian just like you, but his claiming to be something that you can't accept ("son of god", for Jewish people) prevents you from believing him.

That is why we do not believe in Jesus, even when we know that he was "one of us".

You question is non sensical in two areas.
1) Using the word "now" implies that beforehand, we didn't claim he was Jewish, but we changed our minds somehow.
That is ridiculous. No one ever disputed that he was Jewish at any time.
2) Your use of the word "but" implies that somehow his being Jewish is linked to his being the Messiah, in other words, if we accept that he was Jewish we should accpet him as the Messiah but for some inexplixable reason, do not.
This is also ridiculous. I am Jewish, yet I am not the Messiah. The reason why is because I do not qualify. Neither does Jesus, especially in light of the fact that he's dead and has been so for quite a while.

Because Jews believe that the Messiah will come to set up an Earthly kingdom, but first Jesus came to set up a Heavenly Kingdom. And yes, Jesus is Jewish, which is why He was first accepted by many Jews

the earliest Christians were a small Jewish sect and you had to be Jewish to be a Christian. Jesus being Jewish is not some wild claim Jews are making. Jesus was always known to be a Jew and the Jews don't believe him to be their messiah because Jesus did not fulfill their messianic prophecies as far as they're concerned.

Jesus was born into a Jewish family. He couldn't have been a Christian because He was basically the foundation of Christianity. And I'm not too familiar with the Jewish religions and teachings, but i think they believed that the Messiah is like a king will come with like, royalty and power, but Jesus was born in a barn and stuff. I'm not saying he isn't a king (cause He is =]), but He lead a humble life that normal human kings probably wouldnt do.

Jews have always recognized that Jesus was Jewish. They just don't believe that Jesus was the son of God. That's the difference between being Jewish and Christian, although I hear that there are quite a few Jewish people who DO recognize Jesus as the Savior.

I'm just gonna quote jewish girl:
"here is a secret: most jews don't believe jesus ever existed in the first place.

and even if he did exist, we aren't going to worship somebody just because they are jewish. and we certainly aren't going to accept somebody as the messiah when they didn't fulfill any of the prophecies. AND jews aren't supposed to worship the messiah even when he does come. thats called idolatry. the messiah will be a regular, human man. "

It has been known that Jesus was Jewish, the reason they reject jesus as the messiah is in order to fullfill god's plan of salvation of the gentiles (non-jews) first and then finally god's people, the jews. "the first shall be last and the last shall be first, etc."

What do you mean "Jews NOW claim Jesus was Jewish"? They always claimed he was Jewish, because he was! He was brought up Jewish, he's called "king of the Jews" in the bible.....why do you think this is a new occurrence?

His mother was jewish so that makes him a jew under jewish law and customs. Not all jews are the messiah, so the fact that jews recognize him as jewish does not imply that they recognize him as the messiah.
