theres this guy that i'm technically just friends with but the way he acts suggests he wants more. he's a really great guy and we connect on so many issues.
the problem is this: his cell phone got "stolen" apparently so the only way we can communicate is online. he keeps emailing me to say we should hang out or do something but when i email him back to say yeah lets do it he never gets back to me in time and so it doesn't end up working out. the only times we have actually gotten together have been when i iniate the getting together part and then he suggests something to do. the frusterating part is that a couple of times i know he got my email in time but didn't write back untill MUCH later, thereby ruining any chance of meeting up. this last time he hasn't written back at all :(
i just don't understand why he would keep initiating things but then not follow through. i'm tired of putting effort into this and then being left hanging but i really like him otherwise so what do i do?

Classic BBD. If he has a bigger better deal then you are cast aside. Cell phone stolen? He has a new one by now. Can't imagine him without one. So... what to do about Mr. BBD... Well, the next time you go out, you go out with your friends. You let him know where you are going to be and how long. For example. I am going to Pockets in Juarez, MX and I am going to be hanging out with the guys until around 8:00 PM. Will be shooting pool and having a few beers. So if you want to do something with me, I will be there. Tell him your going out afterwards, but plans aren't firm you really don't know where.

He has until 8 to hook-up with you and if he doesn't, you go on and have a good time with your friends.

This works for guys as well as girls. Don't take crap from unreliable people who put anything and everything in front of you. They will never change.

I myself would suggest he replace the "stolen" cell phone. If not, I wouldn't just "hang"...leave HIM hangin if he doesn't answer promptly. If he likes you as much as you like him he will do his best to be with you, if not....go, have fun. He seems too busy to answer you back, so you get busy girl.

Stop putting in the effort. Why go back for more of the same?

Sounds like he is involved and keeping you as 'backup' for if things go bad with the current one.

Forget this loser! He is stringing you along and playing you...just find someone else. Delete his addresss and "lose" his number!

He's married and only getting to you when it's convenient for him to get away.

Drop him. You are obviously not his first choice to be with.
