There is a local school district nearby (state district, not a private school!) that does this every year, and on a Sunday, no less! If the church has a community center that they are willing to lease out on the evening of the event, then I'd say there should be no real controversy.

I would say yes as long as it is ok with the church people. Churches also let other activities take place such as scouts and other meetings so that is fine..

Sounds fine to me. Many churches have function rooms that they rent out for non-religious things.

No. To do that is to assume everyone is the religion of that church. Do it in a neutral place.

ITS NOT SMART.

CHURCH INVITES TROUBLES WHEN IT TRIES TO PLEASE SECULAR WORLD.

GOD STATES: I WILL NOT HAVE FESTIVALS ON MY GROUND.
