Don't sweat it (no pun intended) if you can't do a whole lot your first day back into exercising. Or, even if you can't do that much the first week. Your body will adjust to the new level of activity and you'll start to feel a difference after a couple times exercising. It will feel really good to get back to it. I know that I go through phases where I'm really active, then nothing at all. Everytime I get back into it, it's a great feeling. Then, each week increase the amount of time and/or activity you do.

Congrats to you for getting back on track!

Honey.....75% of the united states is out of shape . Rather if your skinny or fat. I am over weight and I just started excersizing again myself and eating right. The truth is if you have the will power to excersize ( rather if its just to stay fit, tone your body or to lose weight). Will power is just the start then determination. Though what ever you do don't give up and believe in yourself for noone else will. The days you feel like giving up or your to tired or depressed or any other excuse you may try to use not to excersize. Make yourself get up and do it even if it takes all the energy you have left. After you excersize you'll feel better and be glad that you did it.GOOD LUCK and I'll be thinkging about you when I pray.

Start mildly, don't over-estimate your ability to excersize. I was like that, thinking that I could do 10 laps at once, when in fact, I couldn't. It made me want to quick before I could even get a nice, decent amount of exercise done.

If you have a dog, walk him :) It's a great exercise for you, too. If your dog wants to run, run with him/her.

quit drinking diet soda and get off the computer, if you go through certain "doors" you can enter a blue place with a large orange ball in the sky (careful, don't look directly at it or you will magically sneeze), the only problem is that there's no Internet access, but you can "walk" or move in other ways too

If you have room you could put the treadmill in the living room by the t.v. and when you are watching t.v. you could excercise. That way you are getting entertainment from the t.v. yet getting back in shape.

Try walking outside first, because the fresh air will make you want to exercise!
