You mean Road Bikes now. 10 speeds are the old school way of saying it.
But do some research online about different brands.
Trek, Fuji, Cannondale, Schwinn, Specialized. Or some store websites, Performance Bikes, Mike's Bikes.
After doing your research, definetly go to your nearest bike shop to get sized up. If you're short or have short legs or short reach then you should go with a WSD (women's specific design). Nothing sucks more than when you get a bike that is too big for you. It ruins your riding experience and causes pain while riding.
Good luck and as I told somebody else. A bicycling magazine recently rated the Schwinn Fastback Sport ($680) the best buy for the price. They thought it was like a bike that should have costed twice as much so being a beginner, you probably don't want to spend an exuberent amount of money.

Your question is kinda strange.....
There are no new 10 speed bikes, they would be only antiques/used. Common consumer bikes are usually 18-24 speed, some racing style bikes are 12 speed. So unless you are looking for a used older bike (why?), you should go to a store and get caught up on modern offerings....which are really much better and comfortable in every way than older 10 speeds.

I don't if you really mean 10 speeds, or if that's just the term used by inexperienced people in place of "road bike". If you're looking for a used road bike, try Ebay or Craigslist.
