You dont need an excuse, just walk up to him and say "Hey whats up, cool shirt where did you get it?" That or something that involves him, start talking and try to get his number so you can talk latter.

wink at him
then laugh, if he laughs then it's good, go in for it
then jus talk to him, ask him some Q's or something, flirt a little (but not 2 much)
n kinda run ur arm up and down his side while your flirting
and u take it from here

whats the need of an excuse to talk with the one you love?just go to him,and ask that can you talk to him for sometime,then tell him watever you feel to say.
