When my nephew was about 2 years old, we had a lot of music playing toys and talking toys for him. There was a talking Elmo and at night time it use to start laughing and saying that tickles.
One time I actually hid it so he couldn't plat with it anymore, I know, I know, I should have thrown it out but I didn't. Anyway, the staircase to the basement was in the kitchen, and I was up late one night making myself tea, and I started to hear this damn thing saying that tickles, and I knew that I had stuffed this thing in the cellar of our basement, I went to go find it and it was sitting in the up right position at the top of the stairs. Then I threw it out.

Years ago I worked in a gun shop that was in an old three story building in a downtown area. A century ago, the place had been a vaudville theatre, located next to a small hotel that catered to railroad employees. On the third story, there had been a gambling hall/bar. On three occasions, each an early saturday morning when it was raining heavily and very dark outside, we could hear heavy footsteps on the third floor, dragging a heavy object about 80", from the very front of the building all the way to an old hand operated elevator at the very back of the building. The store's inventory ran into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the first time we heard this, we assumed there was a burglar upstairs, and went charging up the stairs with our loaded personal firearms in hand. the heavy footsteps were audible the whole way up, but as our heads broke past the level of the third floor, and the room was visible to us, they stopped, and we were confronted by nothing more than a large empty room, with dust hanging curiously in the air. It chilled our guts, to say the least. The next occurance a few weeks later, we stayed downstairs and just listened... when the footsteps reached the elevator at the back of the building, We were startled to hear a very large crash, as if the elevator, (which was always on the ground floor, as we didnt trust the 100 year old ropes it used), had fallen, or some heavy object had been dropped down the open shaft. Three people heard it that time, the owner, myself, and the owners best friend. The next time It was heard by the owner, his wife, and a policeman in buying ammo. He had to go up and see for himself that no-one was up there. He must have got the creeps too, as he left right after comming back downstairs, rather than staying to browse and talk as was his habit. The area, had historically been a violent one, with shootings, and stabbings commonplace during the 1880's - 1920's, due in part to the transient railroad workers, who would stop here to gamble, drink, and patronize prostitutes. We never heard of whatever incident that kept replaying itself up in that third floor hall, but we all remain convinced to this day that something pretty serious left it's scars on that place.
Johnny, is that really you?
If so, you're nuts... and I can really respect that. congrats on the movies, man.

While I doubt very much that this poser is Johnny Knoxville, I do want to educate you on the fact that we are all composed of both energy and matter. Physical laws of conservation apply to both of them and they state "that matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed only transfered or transformed."
So we die and our bodies rot and feed the earth, but were does the spiritual or devine energy go? You have to die to find out, right? Scientists have proven that upon death the human body spontaniously loses 21 grams of weight. I personally believe it's the spirit leaving for where ever.
I lived in a house where I believed there were spirits. I'd heard the footsteps at night, felt the sudden dreadful feeling of anothers presence and the groans from the attic. My parents both died last year and now the house is owned by a nice family that have told my sister that they hear footsteps late at night and the sound of spontanious laughter from the attic.
Maybe it's a coinsidence or maybe it's something that our science isn't ready to explain.

while it has never happened to me, i have heard of and know people who have paranormal experiences everyday of their lives. some will say its the devil and demon and all that BS, but the truth of the matter is that its just spirits or in other words intelligent life force acting from the immaterial world in the material world, just like fire is the opposite of water, the spiritual world is the opposite of earth, its a place where the physical is no longer present, and everything is ruled by "spirits" or ghost as u would call them, paranormal events are not accidental or coincidental and they occur with specific people who have a "medium" faculty or a susceptibility to contact and physical manipulation from spirits in the spiritual world (which u can say is heaven etc..), if u are scared or are in doubt u should really read these 2 books im gona list here, and all ur doubts and concerns will dissipate, and dont be afraid to explore, because the more u know, the more u can get a clear picture about why it is happening to u.

Objects being thrown around are common signs of poltergeist activity. It can also incdicate latent telekenitic abilities manifesting unconsciously.
As for tha paralysis that can have several explanations. One is what is know as a Hag attack, a female spirit that causes a paralyzing fear in people and feeling of heaviness and difficulty in breathing. Voices also often accompnay hag attacks, although those same phenomena also are part of a visit from a succubus, a female demon that manifests as dream lover, but since you didn't mention any erotic overtines that seems unlikely.
Hope this offers some idea of waht may be happening. Your best bet is to have an acutal investigator come out and check things over....

I don't know about the objects being thrown around thing, but the other symptoms you described are common with a phenomenon called sleep paralysis. I have these episodes myself and they are very vivid. I don't attribute this to anything supernatural because I realize that it is just neurophenomenon going on.
